Something so outrageous I can't believe this one...

Hi ACHers.
I just got back from our annual Father's Day barbeque and my youngest
sister just told me something so outrageous I just had to share it
somewhere. soc.culture and alt.culture hawaii are the only newsgroups I
hang out on where I feel I can safely post this.
Now my sister SWEARS this is true. Me, I figure she is just the victim
of another urban legend.
She says that right now there is major concern about sporting events
like football games in the US because up to 20% of the spectators wear
such sanitary items as Depends so they wouldn't have to go to the
washroom and miss a play.
I told her this is the most outrageous thing I had ever heard and she
then SWORE that she heard the concerns were that these items are strewn
all over parking lots when the people leave and create sanitary
problems.
She said this was necessary because of all the beer many of these Yahoos
consume and their devotion to football. She claimed they then leave the
stadium, change in their cars and drop the "napkins" in the parking lot.
I countered with if they are truly Yahoos, they cherish their
veeHICKculs and would NEVER take a chance on soiling the interior.
In addition, I pointed out that beer is also allowed at Canadian
sporting events and how come Canadian Yahoos don't do this?
She actually had a good response. She reminded me that practically
EVERTHING Americans do trickles up to our country within a decade. If
it is disgusting and low it takes even less time.
Since April, I have read the Floating Condom Reef Net Post and most
recently the full suited diver dropped into a forest fire post (he was
scooped up by a fire fighting plane...) and now THIS 20% of American
arena spectators are wearing Depends and peeing or taking a dump in
their "shorts" so as not to miss any part of the game.
Just thought of something else. Anyone THAT devoted would bring a
WalkTV and bring it along as he's sitting on the commode. Sheesh.
I posted this because I thought you would find it amusing.
Anyone seen mounds of discarded Depends in the Aloha Stadium parking lot
during Rainbow games? :-)
P.S. I was suitably appalled at the dispersions my sister was casting
on Americans....

I believe it is called the "adult baby syndrome", and is a form of psychosis.
One of my colleagues who is interested in the decay of Western society
said that there is a paper on the Net about ABS. Apparently, one can use
Alta Vista or some other text searcher to find such things. I am simply
not interested in such drivel, but wanted to provide you with further info.

The word is "aspersions". According to your story it is the Yanks who
cast their "dispersions" into the car park... <gggg> BTW, UF Gator fans
do not appear to have this problem. If they do, they change in their RVs.
To give you an idea of the magnitude of the football phenomenon, there are
over 200 RVs in the parking lots on a given Football Weekend. Over 80,000
people converge on Gainesville for such occasions. The local merchants
and innkeepers reach a state of near-ecstasy. At nearly every game, several
students are arrested for weeing on the fans. Clearly, they have found a
way to avoid the high cost of diapers :)
