I am looking for Egyptian Art. As I have children under 10 years of age, I
don't want authentic ancient art that could get damaged...maybe in my later
years. Does anyone know of a site here on the internet that you could
purchase this type of art, or an actual store in the Seattle area. The
only things that I can find here are Papyrus...although I purchased some, I
am more interested in statues, etc.

A super place to purchase all sorts of egyptian objects is through
Helen McCrae at 150 Inyo Court - San Bruno, CA 94066
telephone 415/873-8793 or fax 415/873-9493. She has the widest
array of merchandise I've found.

There is the casino in Las Vegas, called the Luxor (?), shaped like a
pyramid, that has authentic Egyptian artifacts for sale. I can remember
a small statue for a couple thousand. They had genuine coins and other
artifacts for less, and some for more. If you're in Seattle, drive down
during a long weekend and check it out. They also had various egyptian
style art pieces that were not artifacts.
