a day or two after hearing of douglas adams' death, a friend of mine and i
were talking about it. i said "wouldn't it be great if we did a cover of
current 93's 'a song for douglas after he's dead' except change the lyrics
to reflect douglas adams? well, unformed ideas mentioned in passing often
seem to be the ones most likely to be followed up on.

so we did it.

at any rate, we are both huge fans of both douglas (ADAMS, before you get
excited) and david, so this was completely done in the best spirit. and we
think it's a somewhat fitting tribute - douglas had a sense of humour, to
say the least...
