Jaime Bravo was a well know Mexican torero in the 50's and 60's.
He was also married to American actress Anne Robinson, who had a
son by him. He was a very knowledgible torero, but somewhat a
tremindista (in American slang, a hot-dogger). He would often be
tossed by the bull on purpose, using his knowledge as a former
circus performer to get away with this daring act. He was a
favorite with the ladies, many of whom gathered at La Sierra Motel
Pool area in Tijuana, hoping to see him (and perhaps spend the
evening with him). He was a very macho man, very good looking,
with a great athlete's body.
His bio is in an english language book by Ann D. Miller, "Matadors
of Mexico."
I was photographer for an english language taurine magazine,
TOROS, at the time and have many B&W photos of him.
