well i have decided that they both suck. after NUMEROUS CS and tech issues
with both companies i will stick with acs. only because they do not have a
data transfer cap. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON. As for Ed Cushing (if i remmeber
his name) it would seem that nobody likes this guy. Another dirt bag at acs
would be phillip dowling. he wont even read your mail when you send it to
him. oh well all i can do is lower my service to lowest possible package and
not give them anymore than they dont deserve

Phillip dowling may not read your email, but he has been very, very busy
getting the bugs out of the Mosquitonet files that were moved to the ACS
Unix server. He has called me and answered his email in order to get
electrician.com site up and running again. This is a commercial site with
many cgi perl scripts that grades tests, returns scores, builds databases,
etc.

I have studied and programmed in Fortran, Basic, PL/1, CBasic, OBasic,
MBasic, GWBasic, and JavaScript. Perl is the most difficult language that I
have ever tackled. It makes Fortran look like simple english. So give ACS
a break, they have had their hands full during this last week getting the
Unix system up and running.

That's what you get for learning the bad habits called BASIC.

Yes, owner, webmaster, or should I say it now masters me. I have about
8,000 files and 100 megabytes. It is a monster when it breaks down, like
last week. When it runs smoothly, it astonishes me. It is like a complex
machine that some how does what it is supposed to do.

Sounds like a Scottish engineer.

Their tech support sucks. They bought my local ISP from Internet Alaska
and tech support went right down the toilet.

Their server dropped one of my newsgroups, so I phoned them. Got a girl
on the phone who had never heard of Usenet (!) I asked her to put a
grown-up on the phone. The next guy knew what Usenet was, but said
it wasn't their fault that I couldn't get the ng. *sigh* It took about 6 weeks
and numerous calls and emails to get the ng back.

The best techie up there that I've found is a gal named Odessa. She actually
knows something about computers and connectivity.
