Newt Gingrich Explains Why Obama Can't Close a Deal

For this week�s special �How To Issue� of Bloomberg Businessweek, I
interviewed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on �How to Negotiate With a
Democratic President.� Gingrich was the last Republican leader to strike a
balanced budget deal with a Democratic president (Bill Clinton, in 1996).
So I thought his experience might shed some light on how the current House
Speaker, John Boehner, and President Obama could hammer out a deal of
their own.
Gingrich didn�t necessarily agree. Or rather, he doesn�t think they can
strike a deal. But I thought his comparison between the two Democratic
presidents, Clinton and Obama, was noteworthy and worth highlighting
anyway�even if you don�t agree with his caustic assessment of Obama.
Gingrich�s full riff can be found here (and also comes in snazzily
illustrated video form, if you prefer). But here�s the portion that piqued
my interest:
�My sense is that Obama is a very bad negotiator. Obama doesn�t listen.
Clinton listened. Clinton understood the art of getting to a deal because
he�d been Arkansas governor. He�d dealt with legislatures. He was used to
talking it out, paying attention. Obama is a college professor. He gives a
lecture and then he grades you on your ability to understand his lecture.
There�s no practical way that a Republican-Obama negotiation is going to
work, because they want radically different things.�

Perfect analysis, Mr. Speaker! We have now twice elected the most
inexperienced person ever to serve as our Chief Executive. Heck, even G.
Washington had led an army (successfully, I might add). So, America, how

Still at war, Gitmo still open, deficit spending continues, nothing done
for public school systems, less transparency than even BUSH (the absolute
worst President ever, until now of course), gas prices, Wall Street, tax
breaks for special interests, those were all things that every democrat in
the country knew were wrong prior to 2009 but now openly support them all.
And you call others hypocrites? Really?

Newt has only stated the obvious. Obama's problem is that he believes
everything revolves around him and when he says "jump" he believes
everyone must do so. Reagan, with a Democrat congress was able to get
things done because he was a good negotiator and was also good at swaying
others to follow. Clinton, the same. Obama, on the other hand, came in
with the attitude of "It's my way or the highway," "The Republicans can
sit in the back of the bus," and so on. The biggest joke is that some have
said he is charismatic hence his popularity. Nothing could be further from
the truth. Obama is more like a boil on the butt of a person who has to
sit at a desk all day long. History will eventually show that Newt nailed
this one square on the head.

I would have given ANYTHING for a debate between Newt and the
telepromptor, I mean Obama. Obama could have played golf during the debate
since he does it so much.

OBAMA FIRST -- Obama is the first person in history awarded college
degrees (and a Nobel Prize) for doing nothing more than existing and for
being a traitor, Marxist, and a total puppet of the left.
The DISHONORARY DEGREE invented for Obama. It matters not how many degrees
Obama was given nor from what colleges --- they are all DISHONORARY
DEGREES, "earned" by his being an imposter, traitor, and a tool of
Marists, a puppet of Vladimir Putin.
All of Obama's degrees are degrees in Fascism, "earned" by nothing more
than the color of his skin and the donation of the Arab Sheiks who
"sponsored" his application and paid his way.
The more Obama dishonors and betrays this country, the more awards and
applause the left gives him.

foremost this obama is not an american born citizen..when he leaves office
he may have to relocate to kenya ...he will not release anything about
himself, nothing...this is the first president in my seventy years on
earth that a president is ashamed of his past..it amazes me that this guy
is so surrounded by stooges that protect his past..if he would listen to
someone and try to do right for america i believe people would like
him..as a southerner it has nothing to do with skin color, majority of us
way past that..we want results and not getting..h. reid and n. polosi
going straight to hell for lying for this guy..
