I don't know the area, so I'm hoping someone who does can offer
something to break the mind-numbing boredom that will surely ensue
when each weekend rolls around. Thank you in advance. :)

We keep you alive to serve this show.
What is considered a reasonable driving distance from Alaska anyway? :-)
Regarding the equivalent location in Arkansas, the fan club web site is
actually very good for this sort of thing:
http://www.rockyhorror.com/participation/showtimes_search.php?l=Little+Rock,+AR
You do need to change the radius to 500 miles though, because apparently
there's nothing within 250 miles. It gives Kansas City, Missouri (
http://www.kcrockyhorror.com ) and Fort Worth, Texas (
http://www.losbastardos.com ) as equidistant at 326 miles. However the
driving route to Fort Worth would be much much quicker, since it's just
a straight shot down I-30 almost the entire way.
I can certainly recommend the Los Bastardos cast, as I've visited them
many many times. They have weekly shows every Saturday at midnight.
I'll actually be driving up to see them myself (along with a couple
other Austin cast members) the weekend of Saturday, November 21st.

You're talking to a guy who lives in a state where less than an hours
drive will put me in another state. :)
Oh, well. It was worth a shot. Thanks anyway.
Heh. Yeah, I'm used to Texas distances. I visit other casts pretty
regularly that involve 2.5 - 3 hour drives (Dallas/Fort Worth or
Houston), so the idea of a 5 hour drive to visit a cast just sounded
like something I'd probably still do every once in a while if I was for
some reason stranded in Arkansas...:-)
No problem. I am actually keeping an eye on the 21th date as a
possible. I'll let you know.
Your post mentioning distances got me thinking, so I've added a few
features to the search string:
l = Location, obviously
now i've added:
d = Distance. Enter any number (even with decimals) and get a result.
If left blank, 250 is the default.
u = Units. "m" or "mi" = miles, "k" or "km" = kilometers. If left
blank, miles is the default.
Examples:
325 miles from Little Rock, AR:
http://www.rockyhorror.com/participation/showtimes_search.php?l=Little+Rock,+AR&d=325&u=mi
505 kilometers from Montreal:
http://www.rockyhorror.com/participation/showtimes_search.php?l=Montreal&d=505&u=k
Enjoy!
