Have any of you Briton RHPS'ers tracked down Peter's antiques shop?

BEWARE!!! Rumor has it he'll kick you out if you even mention RHPS. He HATES
it, and apparently blames it for ruining his career.

Phooey on him!!

That's not true. At least he says so. He said the story about him kicking
out a rabid fan was a load of shit. Well, I don't know if he called it a
"load of shit", but he said it wasn't true :-)

Peter Hinwood is not the friendliest man in RHPS, but hes also not a bad
person. He just refuses to relinquish his privacy, which he is entitled to. Im
fairly certain his shop would not be hard to find, and were I in London, Id go
looking, but only for what he has in the shop. I hear its heavily eclectic,
which is my taste. Ive seen pictures of his flat, and it is beautifully
furnished, and no, I dont know where that is either.
I do know I went to art college with him, and he was quite snotty, several
other students agreed with me on that point. Id say best leave the man alone.
He never was cut out for celebrity, but he has exquisite taste!!

Like I said, it's a rumor. At least indicative of his attitudue, according to
Bev. Too bad, I might have knitted him a pair of wool Rocky Shorts to keep
him comfy in his crotchety old age... ;)

While on the Topic.. This is a Note from our Rocky here at F5..

He has started a "In Honor of Peter Hinwood site".
http://inhonorofpeterhinwood.homestead.com/untitled1.html

Also to the fine men and women who have played Rocky. He has a spot where you
can send in your pics and your cast name and website and he posts them. So if
your Rocky's not on it, get'em in there. It's not like it cost..
Hope ya'll enjoy..

Read Rocky Horror from concept to cult. It covers everything.
He's not a bad guy. I've spoke to people who have spent time with him.
He's basically misunderstood.

It would be like people saying I am an asshole or a control freak. Yes, I
may have "been" an asshole at specific times. And maybe a control freak at
others. But I am not an asshole all the time, only part of the time, and
other time a control freak. Sometimes, I can be both at the same time, but
usually the control freak shows thru. So essentially what I am saying is
that although I may be an asshole, I don't own an antique store, but I do
look good in dark blue shirts. (I need to lay off the over the counter
meds)

I asked one of the co-authors of "Rocky Horror: From Concept to Cult" about
visiting Peter's shop...

Scott was very polite about it, but from what he tells me, Peter's shop is
way out of my price range, and I wouldn't feel comfortable visiting if even
buying a memento is fiscally impossible.

Ruth, look at it this way :) You buy one item from Peter's shop, and You'll
get upgraded to a Platinum Amex instead of just a Gold one :) See if he has
the original dining room doors from Oakley Court hiding in there, then we
can take them over to Richard's house, and knock on the door and say "Happy
Belated B'Day" :)

All depends, which old queen, exactly, are you talking about?

Truman Capote, Paul Lynd, Rip Taylor, Perre Poley,.etc?
