Since I have very little money I was wondering what the best looking and
cheapest Alien toy one could easily buy. My budget is no more than
$15.00 (that includes shipping). I'd also like to know if one could also
include one that could use a repaint and look really good. Thanks if you
guys have any info. When I say Alien toy, I mean the actual Xenomorph,
no extreme variations of the Alien or humans.

Well, there is the Wal-Mart exclusive Alien Resurrection 12" Alien Drone.
Although it usually retails for about $20, and I don't even know if it's easily
available anymore (especially dependent on whether there's a Wal-Mart in your
area). Problem is, although rather well detailed and fully posable, there's
just no way to make it look menacing for some reason.

There is the AMT/Ertl Alien model, a reissue of the original MPC Alien from
'79, which though not a toy, has moving arms, head, and tongue. It's only
about $8 and easy to find at Toys 'R' Us stores, but you will need modelling
skills to make it look good.

And although they are small, Kenner recently put out two Aliens in the Hive
Wars line, available at KB Toys. They are the same mold so it doesn't matter
which, but I have a picture of a prototype version with a really cool paint
job, so they do have some potential for repainting. They basically look like
the Alien 3 creature with some variations.

If this still isn't enough, go to www.ebay.com, and do a search for Alien
things. You'll come up with a few hundred items at least, so type in -star*
-ufo -disney, etc. into the search engine with the word Alien* (to account for
Alien and Aliens) so that you don't get as much unwanted stuff. You'll find a
lot of action figures get put on auction there for pretty cheap. Something
there might suit your needs.

There are a few options available for under $15:

1) Clearanced Alien vs. Predator Repaints: These are currently in the 3/
$10 bins at KB. Most of the Aliens available are the weird animal
variations, but there is a powder-blue "Warrior Alien" in the batch
that, spray painted black, would look just like the original from the
Aliens/Predator 2-pack. There also might be a "Renegade Predator" in
this bin that's as close to the one from the movie as you're going to
get.

2) Aliens Hive Wars figures: Also only at KB, these are roughly $6
apiece. There are two figures in this series (Hive Alien and Acid
Alien) that are good interpretations of the creature from Alien 3 (same
mold, different colors - red and blue). Again, I know you didn't ask
about this, but the Warrior Predator in this series is pretty damn
close to the movie version, if not for the color (dark blue).

3) Signature Series Alien Ressurrection figures - The Warrior Alien in
this batch is awesome, and clearanced for about $4 at KB.

4) Alien Resurrection 12" Warrior - A Wal-Mart exclusive. Originally it
was retailing for $20, but I hear reports of it being cut all the way
down to $5.

I can help you find 1-3, but there's no Wal-Mart in my area to find #4.

The sinister Alien/Wal-Mart connection raises its head once more...
