You know, you're right, CyberTiger. And as Sir Dave's newly-appointed
LiW I am going to take it upon myself to go down into the cellar and
look for that errant Squire. I don't care how long it takes. It might
take weeks just to find him, during which time I will have to take
nourishment where I can find it. Such are the sacrifices a LiW makes

Dear Cuddlers,
It feels like the Lou Gherig speech, but this week I consider myslef the
luckiest person! I came to this place to share and be happy, and have found
such spendid people. I have been asked to share a special honor, that as a
KiTA. In that, I have the honor of selecting persons to be special friends. A
Squire and A Lady in Waiting. I have watched and observed many of you make wise
selections, so I understand what goes into the process. I using my best
judgement, and calling on the wisdom of those who have made selections before
me, I have asked two people if the would do me the great honor, and they both
said yes.
I have known and admired this Fine, Sweet, Lady for quite some time. She seems
to sprinkle goodness and happiness in this newsgroup. There have been many nice
e-cards for us all, wonderful jokes, puns and words to live by. This in spite
of a server that gives her the Blues regularly. I ask Catherine, See Bee to
join me and be received as Lady Catherine.
This nice young fellow and I have had several I.M. talks, and share many of the
same passions. Music and Baseball to name just two. When I read many of his
posts, it is just like reading something I would have written, so in a way,
perhaps we share the same heart and soul. I ask CountryBear to join me and be
received as Squire Kevin.
To each of you, I give a golden chain that bears the Sailors Cross. Wear it
with the confidence that the waters of the world are our great friends. I also

provide you with the keys to the Enchanted Forest Winery (including the cellar
(wink)). My home is yours, as is my great respect and undying friendship.

Friends, please join me in a salute to

Dear Lady Catherine, Squire Kevin, Sir DDL and the group:

Owing to my busy schedule, it is not until now that I am able
to offer congratulations to Catherine and Kevin upon their
appointment to our LiW/Squire staff.

Catherine Browning is a veteran cuddler, having posted as
Cath the Mysterious Cat Cuddler back when I was a beginner
in this group. She took a hiatus from Cuddleland to concen-
trate on her studies, and is now a university graduate.
I am grateful that she now has time to spend with
us in our meadow.

Formerly calling himself Sugar Bear and more recently
Country Bear, Kevin is also an important contributor to
our group and what we're about.

I congratulate Sir DDL for having acquired Catherine and
Kevin as his LiW and Squire. I look forward to their
continuing contributions to what we are about.

For those of you that may not know, during WWII the US Navy organized the
first all-military construction units called Naval Construction Battalions.
They were used throughtout the South Pacific, building the installations
that helped the Allies win against Japan. They took the initials CB, and
the nickname SeaBees as their own. The standard joke that they used was
that the initials CB didn't stand for Construction Battalion, it *really*
stood for Confused B*****ds. (No, CountryBear I don't think you're one
either <g>). Initially, they recruited mostly older men in the
construction industry. Even so, all of them had to go through the full
Boot Camp for GI training. Just the odd stray thought that crossed my mind,
and I thought I'd share a little.
