Greyhawk strolls into the empty meadow, pausing at the foot of the Old Oak Tree used for posting messages, leaving treats, or meeting old friends. Most often, this day goes by without mention, but the men, women, and even the animals that stand guard over the most sacred of all gifts are never far from his heart and mind.
There is no one around, but still he speaks as if in whispered prayer to those who have come before him and those who will come after him.

"Solemn and yet joyous. There was never a point in my life where I took for granted the freedoms enjoyed as a citizen of the United States of America. I learned both from my father and from his father the price paid to enjoy a barbecue on Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day.
Thank-you to those who have served and those who are serving now.
Freedom is not free."
