(About.com) - The Bead Museum in Glendale, Arizona
http://xrl.us/BeadMuseum will be hosting a special
reception on October 21, 2009 to celebrate the release of
the newest edition of "The History of Beads" by Lois Sherr
Dubin (Amazon.com: http://xrl.us/HistoryBeads ). The event
will include a lecture and book signing as well.

"The History of Beads" is a fascinating and comprehensive
look at the beginnings of beads, dating back to the year
30,000 B.C. It is such an important book that I felt it
deserved a spot on my list of the Top 10 Beading Books That
Belong on Every Beader's Bookshelf http://xrl.us/10Beads
Not only does it contain information about beads from all
parts of the world, but it also includes a fold-out visual
guide to ancient and modern beads, trade beads with
information on the years they were made and their countries
of origin..
