It was not malicious, it had a feature able promote mass mailing. Which I suffered using VB4 from the other programs getting me on a mass mailing first I ever seen the advertisement. From then on the AOL and windows API I read about fascinated me, so I made one of a similar AOL interfacing application that was chat room games and such, the most perverse it bids is able you host a mass mailing but that is defined by your inbox, so it's not in itself propagating ones own actions. But acquired my VS6 in 2001, a pre-release government restricted licensed version I still have to this day, mainly intact, even the sticker of my product key (on just a shard of plastic) and jewel insert (for the new CD sleeve they're in) with 3 of the 5 original discs mint from scratches. Missing MSDN for the upgrades that came from friends, January and October, they were a thicker double CD jewel case with yellow and orange imagery and the month of the update on the cover. The original MSDN with the product was a thin 2 CD case same size as normal jewel cases of usual times then, I have to express that because it's the intellectual pretty one, slick for nerds, inside and about help nearer .NET, original MSDN with the product is purple.
