Publix Change In Start Dates For Atlanta Region - What Day Does Your Ad Start?

Ok so I have gotten a TON of emails and comments about when the ad
will start this week. So I thought I would share what I know...

I got a heads up from a reader about three weeks ago that the
Atlanta area stores would be moving to a Wednesday start. Naturally
the first thing I did was try to get someone from Publix to confirm
this for me. I reached out to several folks and even tried their
Facebook page but I didn't get any response. I got enough folks from
the Atlanta area confirm that they had received notification that I
felt it was pretty definite. Then I spotted the dates listed for the
current ad...that was a definite confirmation.

Based on the ads it appears that the Carolinas, Alabama, Georgia and
Tennessee will now start the ads on Wednesday. Now of course this is
nothing new for me as I always had a Wednesday start here in
Chattanooga. So why have I not changed how I list the ad dates and
deal duration on the various posts? Well...there is this little
state called Florida that is putting a kink in everything--tee hee.

As you can see by the image above, Florida is still showing a start
date of Thursday. I also asked a bunch of my Florida buddies if they
had received any kind of notification about a change in their ad
date. No one knew what I was talking about!!

So as of right now, I will continue listing the deals with both
start dates. Since the number of Florida stores dwarf the other
states, I just can't ignore them ??



If any of you guys happen to work for Publix and have the scoop that
you can share about a possible ad start change--bring it on! If any
of you get a notification that your store will be changing dates,
please let me know. As you can imagine, trying to write deals to
cover both sets of dates gets to be confusing at times.

Now one last note...I randomly pulled stores to check the current ad
start dates. I can NOT confirm that every store in each of the
states follow the same beginning/end dates. I am ASSUMING that
everyone except a large portion of Florida has moved to a Wednesday
start date but there could be small areas where that might not be
the case. I say this as folks have commented that certain areas in
North Florida start on Wednesday. Please always ask your store if
you need clarification or just check your ad online.
