Timeouts Trying To Connect Outbound?

Trouble with COTSE started months ago and I just flipped over to gMail
and forgot about it.
Now I want to get back to using COTSE.
The instructions at http://www.cotse.net/fortemail-config.html bear no
resemblance to my instance of Agent 6.0.
Can anybody point me to an updated procedure.
FWIW: my outbound setup page looks like this: http://tinyurl.com/cl9kaof
Inbound seems to have been working a-OK all this time.
