~ ANY thing in here is 'fair game' for deletion, inclusion,
substitution, etc.
~ Even though you might NOT think it 'necessary'; it is often in your
best interest to 'substitute' for 'healtier' ingredients when possible
(unless you simply 'must' have the _original_)..

Oatmeal Rolls c1 LD

Prep: 30 min
Cooking: 15-20 min

Makes: serving #s vary according to size of rolls

1 cup boiling water
1 cup quick oatmeal
1/2 cup margarine
1 pkg dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 egg
3 Tbsp molasses
1 tsp salt
2-1/2 to 2-3/4 cups flour
iicing flavored with almonds

In a med bowl pour boiling water over oatmeal & margarine. In a sm bowl,
dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add yeast, egg, molasses & salt to
oatmeal mix. Gradually add flour; beat well. Knead lightly. Let rise
until double in bulk. Make dough into cinnamon rolls ( butter, sugar &
cinnamon (to taste) spread on dough). Let rise again. Bake for 15-20 min
@ 350 ° F. While warm, glaze with powdered sugar icing flavored with
almond. Let cool completely or until warm; cut & serve.
