A friend of our brought these over in a crockpot - they were a HUGE hit.
So I asked her how she made them and to below is the answer, which just
amazed me, but they are damned tasty

Swedish Meatballs

1.5 lb hamburger
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 cup Petridge Farm herb seasoned stuffing mix
1/2 cup milk
4 oz can deviled ham
small onion diced
salt & pepper

Sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pint sour cream

combine all ingredients for meatballs (tooth-pick size) and brown.
combine mushroom soup and sour cream and add to meatballs. heat until
cream mix is hot.

Looks good! Just add sugar and have meatish sweetballs. :-)

Using a rice flour roux instead of a can of soup with a bit of nutmeg is
really very good.

Generally i like a beef & pork combo, diced onions, S & P, garlic a bit
of paprika, with the dash of nutmeg in both the meat mix and the sauce.
I have used mace in place of nutmeg but one has to be very sparing with
the mace, and anise seed in any beef meat ball is, imo, very good.

Thanks Steve. I've saved this recipe and will definitely give them a try
someday.
