Anyone know where I can find a list of shops that do Student Discounts
looking mainly for Nationals.

Ask them. You'd be surprised at the discounts you can get by just asking.

Holders of NUS Extra card (£10) can get discounts at various establishments,
see http://www.nusextra.com/. This is something new this year - previously
just your free NUS card got you discounts, but apparently no more.
In addition there are various schemes negotiated by individual SU with local
retailers, restaurants etc which you can only find out from the union
concerned, and there are student discounts offered without such an agreement
by individual establishments, esp in towns and cities with a large student
population. Just look out for signs in the window or ask.

Ten that particular shop is a sack of shite and to be avoided.

I sell fashion wear and get asked occasionaly by students about a
discount. This I'll give according to the product and price point.

Being discretionary and polite costs absolutely nothing.
