Creative's EP-830 are their latest replacement for the EP-630, stocked
by various places including play.com, amazon etc for less than 8
delivered (play.com). Reported improvements (read reviews on Amazon) are
better mid range and highs, and but less pronouced bass response than
the EP-630 - but at least ye can hear low bass, unlike the other weedy
types included with MP3 players etc ..
Excellent sound isolation from the outside world. Recommended :-)

I'd be happier buying these cheap earphones if they were sold
directly by play or amazon - these are being sold by playtrade and
amazon marketplace traders and could well be fakes.

Get a real quality headphone from Richer Sounds, Sennheiser for a few quid
more. I bought a 20 one to replace the poor sound quality headphones that
came with my iPod. Enormous difference in quality.
I took my chances on an eBay seller from China (the genuine ones are made in
China, but the fakes might be as well) he is selling them for ᅵ 6.19 see his
listing here

The listing shows a close-up photo of the earphones in which the creative
logo looks to be in the right place, the fakes are pictured here
http://www.pantip.com/tech/php/print_topic.php?topic=TM2792403 you can see
that the Creative logo is not in the same place.
On this basis they are the genuine item, although a couple of people have
left feedback saying they are not genuine so I am not sure, I will know more
when they arrive.
