And if anyone knows of a good multi-domain hoster also with PHP & MySQL
support that would be even better.
TIA
A lot depends on what you want to use the hosting for, the amount of
anticipated bandwidth, required webspace. The reply would be different for
personal web site compared to a business website. Are daily back ups
required. What is your budget?
Hi,
Take a look at www.nativespace.co.uk - I have a multi domain 10 package
which works out at around £9 per month (I think they do a 5 site package at
around half that cost too), with Fantastico and cpanel.

pogga.co.uk are great for hosting. I'm using the £10 a year student
hosting package. You could try the £25 year small business option, gives
you; multiple subdomains and email addresses, option to direct
multiple domain names towards your hosting space. Great service.

Yay, someone plugging my mates company!!!
I've been friends with him since the age of about 6 y/o, he started Pogga
with a mate of his a year or two ago, glad to see it getting good reviews!

Many thanks to all that replied.
This pluginspace.com looks good value for money for what you get.
Presumably the servers are in the US, so does this affect download
speeds at all? And are they reliable, and is the support okay?
Also, I've never had a multi-domain package before, but it says that I
can host 10 domains on this pluginspace.com package for $7 per month.
Excuse me for being dumb here, but say I've already registered 10
domain names, would I have just have to pay this $7 per month and
that's it, or are there some transfer fees or anything else?
I've only actually got one domain that's currently hosted, and the
other domain names I've registered are just names, and not hosted by
anyone at the moment.
FWIW I have 10 domains with www.redfoxhosting.com
I am on the Basic shared package
http://www.redfoxhosting.com/products/webhosting/shared/
3.95 GBP a month
1.2 Gb of disk space
Unlimited domains
10Gb bandwidth a month
PHP
ASP
2 x MySQL
The service is very very good and the support forum is active and very
helpful. Personally I cant fault them in the year I have been with
them.

Hi Steve,
I thought that I'd put my two penn'orth into the ring.
I'm not sure what your skill level is or what you intend to do with your
sites but I personally prefer to go down the UML[1] route. What this
means is that you get your own virtual private server[2] with your own
linux distribution and you can install whatever packages you want with
your server.
You need to have a modicum of ability in administering your own linux
box but it means that you are not at the mercy of whatever versions of
software or, indeed, whatever software packages are installed and
maintained by the host of your choice.
Also, you will not be limited to, say, just 1 or 2 MySQL databases as
you have the power to install and maintain whatever version of MySQL you
desire and set up as many databases as you like within the bounds of
your allocated hard drive space.
My site is currently hosted by rimuhosting.com and it costs me approx
£11 ($20) per month for 30GB monthly bandwidth, 4GB disk space and 96MB
of memory allocated to my tasks. This is more than ample for my current
needs.
They seem to be a knowledgeable lot and their tech admin is very
approachable and helpful.
Okay, so it's not the cheapest option out there but I certainly find it
a very sensible and affordable choice for anyone who wants absolute
control over the operation of their site and a bit of room for growth.

[2] in their own words: "Virtual Private Servers occupy a middle ground
between a dedicated server and regular shared hosting. You get the
features of dedicated hosting in a shared environment."
Thanks for the info. I've signed up with pluginspace.com, and it's got
a 14-day money back guarantee if I don't like it, so if it's not very
good I'll check out the one you've recommended.
Thanks for the info. TBH, I'm not at all well versed in server admin
type stuff (which was confirmed when I tried and failed to install
Apache on my Windows PC, although by Googling it seems I'm not alone in
that), so it would suit me better if I get a web hoster to take care of
the server admin stuff and I'll do the easy stuff. ;-)
