Best place for cheap mens suits?

Due to a new job with a formal dresscode I'm on the look out for 2-3 suits
for preferably under £100 each. Quality is important so I would pay £20-40
extra for each suit. Any ideas on where to look? I'm in the North London
area. The only places I can think of are Marks & Sparks, and Next....

Burtons *used* to have some pretty nice suits in your rice range, I know
they are a bit twee, but trust me, hubby got a lovely 3 piece for our
wedding from there 10 years ago and its still a good suit.

Matalan do matching trousers and jackets, (or they did a couple of years ago),
so you get an off the peg suit that fits, when I looked it worked out about £50
per suit.

Seconded, though I did pick up a good, plain black suit in a sale at Next,
once. Cheaper than hiring a tux, and re-usable.

I think this is less of an issue if you go with something in a flat and
conservative colour (black, dark grey, dark navy) and classic styling.
But then, I've never been complemented for being fashionably (as
distinct from smartly) dressed. :-/

Factory shops?
Near where I live, in NE England, there are a few, quality suits available
from £30, some from M&S (Dewhirst Factory shops)

Next clearance but not so easy to get matching jackets and trousers if your
looking for something other than plain styles. I'd recommend searching for a
pair of trousers first then find a jacket to match them. Your more likely to
find a jacket to match the trousers you found than find trousers to match
the jacket. A month or two back they had them at crazy prices like £5 per
jacket so I grabbed 6 and regret only getting that many, expect to pay about
£30 perhaps for a jacket and maybe £20 for trousers, also expect a red
permanent mark on the "Next" label, not sure why they feel the need to do
this. They don't seem to do it on discounted goods on their website.
George (aka Asda) also do some reasonably priced suits.

Thanks for all your replies and giving me some good ideas. I will definitely
check out Burtons and Asda this weekend. The next Next sale is probably in
January sometime.. Unfortunately Slater Menswear and Braintree may be too
far from me. I will probably go with buying separate trousers and blazers.

Machine washable jackets are available from Marks and spencer and Asda
