I too have had good service in the past but it is about 3 or 4 years ago
since I last needed them.

Unfortunately they have cut back on the number of technicians available so
fewer technicians are covering larger areas meaning longer waiting times for
some call-outs. But if you are not in a hurry perhaps that's no big deal and
they are certainly better than no cover. BBC Watchdog was rather critical in
September 2011, but then that's their job otherwise there wouldn't be a
programme.

I do often wonder how many innocent people and connected companies
behind the dodgy businesses lose their livelihoods because of
inaccuracies in making that programme, either intentional (for good
viewing) or accidental.

Yes, there are crooks about but who appointed the BBC the role as state
nanny? What are the trading standards bods actually doing? Sleeping?
