I presently have 1490 points and have not been able to redeem anything
for the last few months. I get the following error after confirming my
mailing address :

"Your redemption order can't be processed due to the following reason:
Internal Error, please try agian later."

Emails to MyPoints Member Care would return "At this time we are
experiencing technical difficulties in processing redemptions ... We
expect to have these difficulties resolved within a few weeks."

To anyone who is thinking of signing up with MyPoints : don't bother,
you'll just be wasting your time.

Same here... I had request pending for over a week for a redemption. Maybe someone from their
customer service department will see this usenet thread and bring it to the attention of
management before they are faced with false advertising claims.

I redeemed 1000 points for a Chilli's gift certificate the first week
in May, and have never gotten it. I received a confirmation message
saying the request had been processed, with a URL to check the status.
When I go to it, I get a blank page. I have emailed My Points countless
times, and have never gotten anything from them other than the useless
automated reply. It really ticks me off, you go to the trouble of
accumulating points, and then everything is screwed up.

MyPoints has been really messed up for me too-- I wanted to get a Spree
gift cert. before they got taken away, but MyPoints ignored my emails (I
got an error about my account not being active), so I settled for a Macy's
cert... Who knows if I'll ever get it. If I don't in a few weeks, I'm
going to start writing to MyPoints' sponsors- This is bs.

I was having quite a bit of trouble with them also since the merger. They
did manage to get my total points corrected finally though and I actually
got a real human instead of a blanket autoresponder message after about 10
different emails. Maybe they are just working out the rest of the kinks in
the system? I had never had any problems individually with My Points or
Bonus Mail. Hopefully soon they will have everything working again in good
fashion.

I had well over 3000 points and when the companies merged, they claimed my
email addresses were not the same (and they have never changed) :) so i
basically ended up being told i only had 300 points so i decided not to keep
trying.. my mom also does this and went for a certificate and it never
showed up and has gotten the same At this time we areexperiencing technical

difficulties in processing redemptions ... "We expect to have these
difficulties resolved within a few weeks." and that was again just last
night :) so shes giving up to.. just wanted to put my 2 cents in :o).

Well I forwarded my original mesasge to mypoints, and I got a quick response that they are
looking into this. Most likely after the merger they fired or drove out the most intelligent and
experience employees in order to save money needed to pay down the the junk bonds they floated
to pay for this.

Giving away prizes is not good for the sahreholder equity, and tbey may be stalling to cut
expenses in the 1st quarter, since alot of people are probably cashing out their points before
they need management cuts out all the good prizes.

I would expect that within 3 months many of the prizes will become "cents off coupons" instead
of gift certs. So instead of 700 points getting you a $5.00 gifr cert, it will get you a coupon
good for $5.00 off a $50.00 purchase. (that is how Pacific Bell eliminated to expense of it
point program). They coupons are cheaper then the real gift certs.

What is their fax number? It sounds like all of us need to be doing
that! I remember they used to have a phone number listed on their
website, although you had to hunt for it. (This was at least a year
ago) I had a problem, emailed them to no avail. But it only took one
phone call to get it cleared up. I'm sure they took their phone number
off, or they would be getting thousands of phone calls from some really
ticked off people.

This is the same company that I had to get pretty ugly with to get them to drop
my membership. I kept sending them requests to remove my name from their
database, and they kept sending me emails. Someitmes these folks can be pretty
hardheaded. I think, and I hope, that they finally got the message, because I
haven't gotten one from them in a while. Some of these sites are like leaches..
they never let go.

I am in the middle of the same problem with FriendFinder and Sports FriendFinder,
sites you can sign up for at Cybergold. I've recieved about 20 e-mails from them
AFTER asking repeatedly to be dropped, and even sending that cancellation request
to several valid e-mail addresses at FriendFinder. Be warned everyone! :-/

Has anyone been waiting longer than six weeks. If you have you
probably have legal recourse. At least through snail mail, if the time
an item is to be delivered is not stated, they have no longer than six
weeks or can be in trouble. Check with the US Postal Service and your
state's attorney general. They either they deliver or they can be
fined.

Check it out.

I had the same problem and wrote to them. It took awhile, but they fixed
it.
I ended up redeeming the points for a gift certificate from On The
Border--which I received and used last week!
Just keep trying!

Okay, I FINALLY got my order processing. Their customer support finally
replied and told me this: "Please try redeeming again, this time
refraining from using any parentheses or hyphens in the address and
phone number fields."

Talk about stupid! The order form had no mention about this! And I
kept on trying again and again thinking their system was not
functioning. Their update account info page was almost as bad (it
doesn't tell you if the username chosen is already taken, so you end up
clicking and clicking, wondering why it won't update)

Well, I hope you no longer have to go through all the trouble I went
through with their website.

I had -0- trouble redeeming my 2000 points for $20 certificates at
Marconi's Grill. The site knew my name & address, I just filled in
2 $10 certificates & an email followed confirming it. 4 weeks to arrive.

I just got my $10 CDN Blockbuster gift card just the other day. It
looks like a credit card type thing! (Hey don't laugh, I've never
bought a gift card before!) I now have enough points to get another
one. Turns out it's not a scam afterall. :)

There system really fell apart for a few weeks. I had to email anytime I had a delayed point
award (no got posted) not referrals got posted. I actually emailed them a threat from here, and
I got a reply email from then REALLY QUICK.

Then finally got me my reward, all my points, and everything seems to work again.

No, they're definitely not a scam. When they were BonusMail, I received
a $15 gift certificate to Red Lobster and Saturday I received the $10
gift certificate to Chili's that I had requested.
