Hal Turner has been arrested...

North Bergen, NJ (TRN) -- At about 4:00 this afternoon, Hal received a call
from the North Bergen Police telling him to go to the Police Station because
they had received a tip from a credible source about a death threat made
against him and they needed to talk. He arrived at the station at about 4:10
and was arrested at 4:15. It seems that the state of Connecticut issued a
warrant for his arrest for making "Harassing Communications". There is no
other information available at this time. At this point, any and all donations
toward his defense would be greatly appreciated.

Quite obviously, the Hal Turner Show will not air tonight. All other shows
will run as scheduled.

You all remember Sean Hannity's buddy Hal Turner, the neo-Nazi nutcase whose
favorite activity is threatening various public officials, most notably
federal judges -- though most recently he was also publicizing his empty
threats to wreak havoc at President Obama's inauguration.

Well, it looks like the threats finally caught up with him:

Radio host Hal Turner � accused of hosting a website that
incited Connecticut Catholics to "take up arms" and singling
out two Connecticut lawmakers and a state ethics official � was
taken into custody in New Jersey late today after state Capitol
police obtained an arrest warrant for him.

Turner, who has been identified as a white supremacist and
anti-Semite by several anti-racism groups, hosts an Internet
radio program with an associated blog. Last week, the blog
included a post that promised to release the home addresses
of state Rep. Michael Lawlor, state Sen. Andrew McDonald and
Thomas Jones of the ethics office.

"Mr. Turner's comments are above and beyond the threshold
of free speech," Capitol police Chief Michael J. Fallon said in
an e-mail announcing the warrant. "He is inciting others through
his website to commit acts of violence and has created fear and
alarm. He should be held accountable for his conduct."

What apparently gave Turner an excuse to issue threats this time was an
ongoing dispute in Connecticut over legislation affecting the Roman Catholic
hierarchy in the state:

"It is our intent to foment direct action against these
individuals personally," the blog stated. "These beastly
government officials should be made an example of as a warning
to others in government: Obey the Constitution or die."

And, the post continued, "If any state attorney, police department
or court thinks they're going to get uppity with us about this;
I suspect we have enough bullets to put them down too."

Turner also recently suggested to readers of his blog that someone should
shoot another abortion provider:

After the killing of abortionist George Tiller, another "doctor"
has publicly announced he wishes to take Tiller's place
to continue partial birth abortions!

Physician LeRoy Carhart of Omaha, NE wants to continue
providing third-term abortions after the brazen slaying of his
friend and colleague George Tiller.

Gee, this is becoming a "target-rich environment!"

I suspect someone has a bullet for this guy too. I guess we'll
just have to wait and see.

Turner is not someone to take seriously, any more than
gay-basher Fred Phelps. He's made numerous threats in the
past, and all have been just so much gasbaggery. Moreover,
he has a nonexistent following, especially after it was revealed
he had been doing federal-informant work, which pretty much
destroys your cred in white-power circles.

Nonetheless, authorities have no reason to tolerate these kinds of threats.
Turner's arrest is long overdue.

Gee. I wonder if Hannity will report on this.

I think phrases like, We'll get him dead or alive, and bring 'em on, gave the
impression to a lot of Americans that being bad dudes was accepted as the
American way. Sadly they took that attitude and ran with it. No one seemed to
want to calm them down and instead voices like some at Fox seemed to encourage

The nature of it, is how non-profit corporations have to be administered when
created by the Catholic Church in Connecticut. I am no lawyer, but it looks
like lay members will be administering the non-profits. I can see where a
bishop or priest might be a bit miffed, but it does not appear to be a bill
that effects the organization of the church. It effects the creation of
non-profit corporations by the church. This bill was created as a response to
several corruption issues.

Bill was bitching last night because he thought the shooting of the soldier
didn't get as much coverage as the shooting of Dr. Tiller. I don't know if it
did or not because I don't read all the papers and watch all the cable shows
all the time. I just felt it was one more attempt by Bill to put a wall
between himself and the Dr. Tiller story.

...this is a damned good thing but far too late, as far as I'm concerned. My
question is, why did it take so long and how come law enforcement only got
proactive on his fat, pasty ass when he vaguely threatened them in the
abstract? It seems to suggest that they only get off their own donut-larded
asses when they're threatened and the rest of us have to take our chances. I
think the targeted CT lawmakers and the OSE official were just incidental in
the complaint.

Where were they when I was furiously writing dozens of emails this past winter
to the North Bergen PD, the Capitol Police, the Hudson County DA's office, the
FBI, TSA and other pertinent agencies including dozens of the 246 congressmen
whose addresses he'd threatened to release?

And did his standing as a paid informant with the FBI have anything to do with
his seeming invulnerability all these years? Maybe someone should investigate
their collusion with him. I've been trying to take down this fat freak for
years and I'm kind of pissed off that I had nothing to do with this and that
his arrest was occasioned by something this relatively petty.

The arrest warrant issued wasn't just for the charge of "Harassing
Communications." It was a "Fugitive from Justice" warrant. The state of
Connecticut claims that they allegedly contacted Mr. Turner and asked him to
turn himself in (no such request was made). When he didn't follow through with
this alleged request (because no such request was made), they issued the
"Fugitive from Justice" warrant, which called for the North Bergen Police to
arrest him on the charge of "Harassing Communications". That is all the
information we have at this time. Again, any and all donations toward Mr.
Turner's defense would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell from a lot of the comments that most of you are wondering who is
running the site. My name is Adam. I have been running and will continue to
run this site in Mr. Turner's absence. That being said, I'd like to inform you
that the State of Connecticut has perpetrated a fraud against the state of New
Jersey by issuing a "Fugitive from Justice" warrant instead of an arrest
warrant, implying that Mr. Turner knew about the charges against him...HE DID
NOT! Hal has committed NO CRIME! On advice of the attorney, we cannot give you

I think the "fugitive from justice" may have been added so they can make Hal
wear one of those GPS-based "anklets", if and when he does make bail.

If Hal is made to wear such a device on his ankle, all he would have to do is
purchase a GPS jammer, which would prevent the device from getting the
satellite signal, thus the Conneticut authorties would not be able to track
him, as long as he was within range of the device.

In fact, I ADVOCATE that Hal's family IMMEDIATELY begin shopping for a GPS

Ok, check this out. Here's the legal definition of "Fugitive from Justice":
""fugitive from justice n. a person convicted or accused of a crime who hides
from law enforcement in the state or flees across state lines to avoid arrest
or punishment. Under Article IV, Section 2, Governors are required to "deliver
up" and return any fugitive from justice to the state where they allegedly
committed the crime, a process called extradition".
Hal did not "flee" or "hide" to avoid arrest. In fact when called by his local
cops and asked to come down to the station, he honored their request. So in no
way was he fleeing, or hiding. So the Fugitive from Justice warrant must be a
bogus arrest warrant designed to force New Jersy's Gov. to extridite HT to Ct.
because it clearly requires that the Fugitive be sent back to where the crime
was committed. But HT was not in Ct. and it's just an accusation, not a
conviction. There's something rotten in Denmark, or in this case Connecticut.
Clearly Hal doesn't qualify as a Fugitive because he wasn't hiding nor
fleeing. So his lawyer should be able to get that warrant thrown out. But Ct.
might still be able to get him extridited on the inciting violence warrant,
but maybe not. I think Hal pushes the 1st. Amencdment envelope on what he can
legally say but I think he knows exactly where that line is and he stays real
close to it, but doesn't cross it. Thousands of like comments are all oever
the internet. This could be a good test case if it goes forward. Can you
imagine how many Imams and Mullahs will have to be arrested in this country
for inciting Jihad and violence against America and Americans? Obama's
preacher, Rev. Wright G'damning America and all the rest of what he said could
be considered inciting violence and the Rev. Louis Fuckyourkind has incited a
lot of violence against America too. But here's the ominous part of HT's
arrest. This could turn out to be the first HATESPEECH TRIAL IN AMERICA and
that would be an attack on our 1st. Amendment for real. Obama said "we need a
new Bill of Rights that would end bigotry". That means he wants to trash our
1st. Amendment freedom of speech right. This is going to be a very significant
case and it's bigger than Hal Turner. It will affect everyone in America if
these tryants are allowed to criminalize Hal Turner for speaking his mind,
online or anywhere else. I sent $20.00 Fri. and everyone should do what they
can to make sure this injustice is not allowed to prevail.

2. i wish people would stop using attorneys. it is up to us alone to study as
use the law. every study shows that people are much more successful without an
attorney than with an attorney. i never knew of any that have knowledge and
can be trusted. they all work for the BAR, not you.

3. i wish people would wake up and see how out-of-control our "systems" are -
a house-cleaning is way way way overdue. i do my part as best i can, and i
wish others would too.
