Israeli security agency, Shabak's report on Jewish casualties, stated:

Either way you slice n' dice it, there is a wee bit of disparity on
the numbers. Al Jazeera, Oman Daily News and the Beirut Times all had
1,300 - 1,400 Palastinian dead. Maybe some were never found too -
vaporized perhaps, or they had a mismatch in body parts. Gruesome
stuff. The Israeli paper makes no bones about referring to the
Palestinians as "terrorists", so what name would they have for
themselves? They claim that Hamas is firing rockets at them, and thats
true, they fired 566 rockets during the year, with a whopping 406
fired off during Operation Cast Lead. They killed nine Jews with 406
rockets. They also make the claim that Hamas wants to destroy Israel -
say what? Do the Israelis forget they have Apache helicopters, F16s
and a secret nuclear arsenal? Hamas fires el cheapo Russian Grad
rockets, which they have to smuggle parts in through the Egyptian
border tunnels and they aren't very effective judging by the death
toll. I think Hamas has a long ways to go before they can destroy
Israel, and the IDF isn't losing any sleep over it. Well maybe they
get woken up with those damned Hamas rockets fizzlin' out of control
and landing in the desert. Hamas vows to keep on slugging away with
their mission impossible. And guess what? Israel claims that there is
al Qaeda in the Gaza. Oh no! I guess they hear about the Americans
dishing out the Yeminade so they figure no harm in playing along.
What a crazy world.
