The govenrment would be inclined to monopolize off this and more money
for Big Brother's Armies. Besides the Government could more easily
subdue a "Drunkard, drugged out, society of whores.
Patrick
So, what are we now? Legalizing these things would not result in their
proliferation. And anyway, to hell with the govt.

It's been done before, and by no less that a judge of a United States
District court. In Miller v. Reddin, 293 F. Supp. 216, 226, it sez:
The court could go on with the libidinous litany of depravities,
degradations, debasements and defilements. But before going on to each
individual book we continue only to point out that we find in these
books every four letter word that is common in this type of obscenity.
The Court thought long and hard before mentioning these words. But if
we are to be accurate in our findings and correct in our conclusions we
must "tell it as it is". The four letter words must be listed because
they are used in these books: cock, ball, cunt, piss, shit, fuck, suck.
And they are used in descriptions of sexual and excretionary organs and
functions, utilized and exploited again and again, often at the same
time and in the same place and by the same persons all in visual or
physical contact. These books indeed boggle the imagination.
(end of quote)
This judge's opinion boggles the imagination. I am familiar with one of
the books he is criticizing. It is a book written by Akbar di Piombo. This
is NOT a pornographic book. It is a book of satire, something like the
works of Rabelais. Then in another book the judge is pissed of because a
fictional character, "Lord Justice Strongcock", is shown in a bad light.
There was something similar to that in the case of Southeatern Promotions
v. Conrad, 420 U.S. (I forgot the page at which the case starts, but
anyone can look at the index at the start of the volume). In that case,
Warren Burger, former Chief [in]Justice of the United States Supreme
Court, in a dissenting opinion, blows his stack because there is a
fictional character in the rock musical "HAIR", named Burger.

I consider myself to be a connoissewer of pornography and, as a
connoissewer of pornography, it is my opinion that the finest pornography
is produced in Sweden.
