Portia appeared in an apparition,
a portent of an assassination
Her goddess auto body well-proportioned
Her 6 cylinder cynicism,
Machiavellian machinations at Mach 9
Her mind a portal into realms, divine
She is an unexpected angel
Her diversity is not of holdings and assets
When she speaks of equity, she refers not to finance
Not fooled by the quest for securities,
she attaches no importance to portfolios
She is a lawyer, the plaintiff against the pontiff
doing pro bono work for prisoners
Be advised, in way of marriage
Of justice, let there be no miscarriage
Into the dark corners of your mind, she will delve
Revolutionary Worker #912
Creature comforts make her uncomfortable
She would never driver a Porsche
She prefers to sit on a porch,
in the company of poor folks
She drives a Volkswagen
She is an ethereal mystic
and an expert auto mechanic
Worked hard all her lifetime, no help from her friends
Into a tailspin, the racecar she sends
Who is the secretly embedded beneficiary
of the artificial, official association?
Portia touches the webb
not with a victim's mentality
not deceived by the weaver
or his pretense of morality
She knows that her loanshark creditors
are a gang of clever predators
Wholesale retaliation, in proportion
From one small drop of Portia's potion
Seizing opportunity, to eliminate an archenemy
Transformation, by means of arcane alchemy

This year, before the Democrats had even selected a presidential
candidate, the Bush strategists were considering advertising in
movie theaters and health clubs. The data showed that Democrats
were more likely to go to the movies than Republicans, so they
dropped that idea. But it also showed that health clubs were a
good way to reach Republicans and swing voters ages 18 to 34. So
the campaign bought time on a cable channel that goes into
health clubs across the country. It had reams of data that were
not of immediate practical value but that helped the campaign
understand its voters: for example, Porsche owners were more
likely to be Republican; Volvo owners, Democratic.

It's stable, and smooth, and effortless. AARRRGGGHHH NO NO NO,
this is not what a 911 is about. I remember the first time I
drove the 993 Turbo, my favourite Porsche to date. Every time
you sink your right foot it sucked air in through the rear deck,
growled, hissed, popped and banged. The engine gently resonated
throughout the whole cabin. The brakes seemed to stop you
instantly, and the steering was pinpoint, and perfectly
predictable so long as you knew the characteristics of the car.
With the electronic aids off it was VERY scary to drive, but so
rewarding when it all went right. But then when you were done
loonying around you just turn the PSM back on, and all is
peaceful and safe. But now there is NO WAY you can get one of
these to send you backwards into a bush

EXTERIOR - OFFICE BUILDING - CENTURY CITY - DAY
Adam exits the building carrying his 7-iron. An attendant
takes his valet parking ticket. While Adam, still fuming,
waits for his car he notices the big limo standing off to one
side. He stares at the car and the huge limo driver leaning
up against the front driver's side door.
Adam's car arrives - a late model Porsche. Before Adam gets
into his car he addresses the attendant.
ADAM
Did the Castigliane brothers get out of
that limo?
ATTENDANT
They two guys in dark suits?
Adam nods and walks over to the limo. The limo driver eyes
him and his 7-iron suspiciously.
ADAM
Castigliane brothers?
LIMO DRIVER
Beat it!
ADAM
O.K.
Adam raises his 7-iron and smashes out the limo's windshield.
He whacks two big dents in the hood, then smashes out a
headlight. The limo driver starts towards him. Adam laughs,
runs to his car and takes off.
COWBOY
Now I know a few things. I know you have
had a rough day. You're probably thinkin'
I don't know the half of it, but in
actual fact I know every part of it. The
business of gittin' thrown off your
movie, the heartache of seeing your wife
with another man... losin' access to that
precious film vault...
Adam suddenly looks stunned, unsure.
COWBOY (cont'd)
... realizin' you don't have hardly a
nickel to your name and then add on to
that the sickenin' feeling some men are
gonna catch you and hurt you bad for
bustin' their vehicle. Some days are like
that. They are rough, but what will
tomorrow bring? Will it be better than
today? The same ... or worse?
A lot of that is up to us individually.
Up to us and our attitude. When the
Castigliane brothers said "This is no
longer your film," they meant it, but
they didn't mean you were not going to
direct it. I want you to go back to work
tomorrow. You were re-casting the lead
actress anyway ... audition many girls for
the part. When you see the girl that was
shown to you earlier today, you will say
" This is the girl." The rest of the
cast can stay- that is up to you, but
that lead girl is not up to you. Now,
you will see me one more time if you do
good. You will see me two more times if
you do bad. Good night.
The Cowboy turns and walks until he is engulfed in darkness.
Through the darkness Adam hears the sound of a car door
opening and closing, then another opening and closing and
then the sound of the car driving away. Adam walks up in the
direction the Cowboy took, but he sees no sign of a car nor
any dust nor any road. He goes back down past the barn and
stables to his car. There standing by his Porsche is the
Cowboy.

A good interactive system should help parents to help naming a
child. But the 1st name is no criteria (remember Marcy D'Arcy....,
hope i spelled that correct). My real name is Martin Thinnes. I
was born in the southern part of Germany and my name sounds
right in that area. But in the northern part a short/nick name
(as Bob for Robert) for Martin is Tinnes (and this sounds just
as Thinnes in german). And this causes a lot of laughing in
Hamburg.
A more funny example are two friends of mine. His name was Horst
S. and hers was P. Horst. They married and he choosed to take
her family name
Porsche: a german family name and the name of Ferdinand Porsche,
the founder of the famous Porsche company. Mercedes: a common
spanish name and the name of Emil Jellinek's (1853-1917)
daughter. Jellinek was a general consul in Nice, France and he
also was a major Daimler customer and importer in France (he
bought 34 cars till Gottlied Daimler died in 1900). The Mercedes
cars are named after his daughter. The first Mercedes car
(Mercedes Simplex) was built in 1901, had a 4 liter 4 cylinder
engine with 18hp @ 1200 rpm, top speed was 70km/h = 43.5 mph.

I've always thought the girl's name Ima seems to magically
inspire matrimonial intent in boys with nouns as last names.
Does anyone know of an example, anectodal or otherwise, who
breaks that rule? Iona seems to have the same power, though not
as infallibly. I guess if you want to be really certain your
daughter will marry...
beauxeault, May 22 2002
I really wouldn't want to marry a girl named "Ima" for fear that
it would drive her mad!
mwburden, May 22 2002
RT: I followed a few links from my google search on names+
numerology and it seems much more to do with the letter count in
each name. A chinese one was to count first name+1, first+middle,
middle+last and first+middle+last. Then for each of those four
numbers check against whether they are 'lucky'. I think this was
a crude example, but others didn't tell you what the process was,
you just put your name into a javascript box thingy.
Numerology tends to work by assign each letter a number and
working out the resulting numbers for each part of a name and
then the whole name. There are all kinds of way of working out
what it means by looking for the meaning of 1 and 2 digit
numbers or looking for a deficiency or surplus in specific
numbers.

Some Things You'll See at a Porsche Parade

1. People with wrinkly fingers from washing and re-washing their

2. People with their autocross times tattooed on their stomachs.
3. Porsche drivers who trailer their cars to the Parade, and in
fact have never actually driven one on a city street.
4. Fanatics who'd throw their bodies across the car, to protect
the paint finish, should a flock of birds fly over.
5. Ever wonder how many hex nuts/bolts there are in a 917K? Rest
assured there will be someone who knows exactly.
6. Ask a guy with a Porsche T-shirt, cap and boxer shorts, how
many feet of wire are in a Glockler-Porsche, he'll know, to the
inch.
7. There will be a person who has an appendix scar in the shape
of a Porsche crest.
8. And a license plate that reads Portia.
9. Some yo-yo couple will have named their triple sons, Butzi,
Peter, and Wolfgang.

Spiders range from diurnal hunters to nocturnal hunters and may
use ambush, trapdoors, use tricks, or may simply run down their
prey.
Portia fimbrilis will trick web-weavers that it is prey by
touching the peripheral edges of large
spider's web.
Portia fimbriata is an araneophagic jumping spider that only
preys upon other spiders. When preying upon other Salticids it
will stalk the spider normally unless it can see the eyes. When
eyes are observable P. fimriata will adopt cryptic stalking.
When preying on web-weavers the spiders has three means of
attack. If the prey is a small spider it will make faint contact
within the capture zone on the web. It will make faint contact
on the periphery of the web if the prey is large. Or P.
fimbriata will make a signal (vibration) of a large-scale
disturbance, walking towards the spider when walking onto the
web. This is regardless of the prey size. All of these adaptive
behavioral mechanisms make P. fimbriata a formidable foe.

Subject: Women prisoners in Texas
From: The Portia Campaign portia....@katamail.com
Date: Tue, Dec 5, 2000 7:32 PM
Message-id: <90kc05$bf8$1...@nnrp1.deja.com
I am writing on behalf of the Portia Trust, a human rights
organisation based in the United Kingdom. We are extremely
concerned about the conditions of women prisoners in Texas. The
following are two examples of the reports of severe human rights
abuses we have received in recent months. Copies of this letter
have been sent to all major Texas newspapers and US human rights
groups, and have been published on all relevant US internet
newsgroups.
Robin Marie Head (#742243) has served five years of a ten year
sentence in Texas for owning an escort service (one of the many
thousands listed in the yellow pages across the US). During this
time she has been
- gassed twice; - put on 'food loaf' (no food for 7 days) twice;
- knocked into a near coma by the 'riot squads';
- slammed into cement while handcuffed with her hands behind her back;
- handcuffed daily to be led to the showers like an animal;
- forced to share her cell with severely violent inmates.
She was forced to work every day in the torrid heat in mud
fields awash in ants, even though her medical file clearly shows
she is severely allergic to ants. For the crime of 'work refusal'
she has since been denied parole and has now been kept in
solitary confinement in a small cell for over four years, with
no radio, no outdoors, nothing except air, water, food, and mail.
The SPOTLIGHT has learned that Gary Webb, who broke the story of
the CIA's role in the crack trade in Los Angeles in the San Jose
Mercury News, privately told another journalist that he could
"never" report that the Mossad is also big in the drug trade. He
said if he ever reported that, he would lose his job, and that
he doesn't even want to discuss it. So there are certain limits
to examining the role of the intelligence community in the drug
trade. Your own experience illustrates that.
If you start mentioning, as I have, the role of the Mossad or
even of the Federal Reserve System in drug money laundering, you
cross the line. No wonder I'm having all sorts of trouble.
The SPOTLIGHT has repeatedly pointed out that the drug trade
couldn't survive without the Federal Reserve's complicity. How
did you discover the Federal Reserve role, for example?

B4: Portia School of Law
45-47 Mount Vernon Street
Portia School of Law began in 1908 when two women who wanted to
take the Massachusetts bar examination asked Attorney Arthur W.
MacLean to tutor them. His wife Bertha named the nascent school
after Portia who disguises herself as a lawyer in Shakespeare's
Merchant of Venice. The informal school expanded and became the
only school providing legal education for women exclusively.
Portia Law was incorporated in 1919 and in 1920 the first L.L.B.
degrees were awarded to 39 women. The school continued to grow,
admitting a few men in 1930. The first woman dean was Margaret H.
Bauer (1899-1985), who served in various capacities at the
school from 1937 until 1962, becoming dean in 1952. In June 1972,
the name of the school was changed to the New England School of
Law. It moved to 154 Stuart Street in 1980.
In 1923, Blanche Woodson Braxton (1894-1939), a graduate of
Portia Law in 1921, became the first African American woman to
be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. She later became the first
African American woman admitted to practice in the U.S. District
Court in the state. The first woman president of the Board of
Trustees of New England School of Law was Anna E. Hirsch (1902-
1997), a 1928 graduate of Portia Law. Hirsch was elected
register of probate for Norfolk County in 1954 and again in 1960
(see also C2).

Our outing at Windsor did take place after all, the following
week. The weather was not so fine as it had been. Autumn's
brightness was giving way to the grey of winter. Soon it would
be too cold to ride out for pleasure, and people would keep to
their carriages and their homes. My mood on this day would
seemed to match this promise of coming chill and gloom, for the
discovery of Pamela's letter, and my subsequent conversation
with Portia had done much to bring my high- flying hopes back to
touch the earth. I carried in my heart , as well, a little
glowing coal of anger, whether justified or not, towards the
Earl of Edrington,( for I felt very much now that he had trifled
with me) and in no small degree towards my own self for my own
stupidity and naivete. I was sad and homesick, but stubbornness
and pride would not let me run, and in truth, I was no less in
love than I had been when I had arrived in London. I was a
little astonished, I think, to learn that this was so, and yet
it would seem it could not be helped!

saying to Captain Kennedy, "With the Americans, the Portugese and

our victories, at least according to Grenville." The men were
riding a few yards ahead of Portia and myself, assuming with
typical arrogance that young ladies must have little interest in
affairs of state. It was irritating.
"And what of the Czar, my lord?" I spoke up.

Delicately, Portia begins to pluck the web with its palps and
legs, making signals that mimic the
struggles of a trapped insect. When the prey spider ignores
Portia's plucking, Portia varies the characteristics of signals,
generating a kaleidoscopic of what appears to be a random
selection of signals. Eventually, in response to one of these
signals, the prey spider swivels toward Portia. Immediately,
Portia backtracks to that particular signal and repeats it again
and again. There being no further response from the prey,
Portia eventually reverts to broadcasting a kaleidoscope. When
the prey spider still moves no farther, Portia adopts another
ploy.
Now Portia slowly and carefully stalks across the web toward the
resident spider, intermittently making a variety of signals.
From time to time, a soft breeze blows, ruffling the web. The
ruffling of the web creates background noise in the web, and
Portia exploits these moments, during which the resident spider'
s ability to detect an intruder are impaired, by stalking faster
and farther during these periods than when the air is still.
Nearing the resident spider, Portia makes a signal that elicits
from the resident spider a sudden, rapid approach. However, the
spider advances very aggressively, and Portia scrambles to the
edge of the web, then turns around to look over the scene.
Soon Portia moves away from the web and undertakes a lengthy
detour, first going away from the prey and around a large
projection on the rock surface, losing sight of the prey spider
along the way. About an hour later, Portia appears again, but
now positioned above the web on a small overhanging portion of
the rock. After anchoring itself to the rock with a silk
dragline, Portia next slowly lowers itself down though the air,
not touching the web at all. Arriving level with the resident
spider, Portia suddenly swings in, grabs hold of the
unsuspecting spider and sinks its poison-injecting fangs into
the hapless victim.

As is evident from Murphy's use of the word "metanormal" as
quoted above, for you to appreciate what he is going to tell you,
it is important that you hold your judgement in abeyance until
you hear him out. In our culture we too often dismiss anyone
that starts talking about mystical and metanormal behavior. What
we have to appreciate is that science is just beginning to
understand what life is all about. In the last century we have
come a longer way toward understanding human behavior, however,
we have an even longer way to go before we adequately understand
just how powerful the human brain is and what we can accomplish
with it.
To illustrate this point, I would like to briefly talk about
Portia spiders. Yes, spiders. If we can appreciate what we know
and don't know about Portia spiders, then we can begin to
appreciate how tremendous must be our lack of knowledge about
the human brain. The Portia spider is about one-third of an inch
in size and has a brain about the size of the head of a pin. Not
much brain there and scientists, for a long time, have assumed
that spiders don't think, they react.
Portias come in 15 species and are found in Africa, Australia,
and Asia. They are jumping spiders and great nonconformists.
Spiders usually build webs and capture prey in them or hunt
their prey---Portias do both. Most spiders prefer other insects
as prey. The Portia specializes in invading other spider webs
and devouring the owners. In order to do this, the Portias stage
elaborate masquerades to sneak up on other spiders (including
other Portias) to kill and eat them.
Just how do they do this? They will go to a web and pluck the
web silk mimicking a trapped insect and thus lure the other
spider to its doom. Some spiders live in a rolled up leaf and
Portias will climb on the leaf and vibrate it so that the spider
comes out where Portia can attack.
One Portia was sneaking up behind another for an attack when the
other Portia turned and saw her so that she retreated. But,
after feigning retreat, the Portia climbed a nearby vine and
from above dropped on her own silk and began to swing toward the
other Portia until able to make the kill. All this with the
brain the size of a pinhead! (The above is from Robert R.
Jackson, "Portia Spider: Mistress of deception." National
Geographic. November 1996, Vol 190, No. 5, pp. 104-115.)
We have assumed spiders followed simple, rigid, behavior
patterns. Obviously, Portia is behaviorally complex. Just as we
are beginning to appreciate how complex even simple insects can
be, we are just on the surface scratching away in our efforts to
understand just how behaviorally complex humans are. Murphy's
book examines centuries of study of how humans can use our
wondrous brain to accomplish things that most of us currently
think are impossible. Thus, when he uses the term metanormal, we
should appreciate that all he is saying is that, humans have
capacities substantially greater than we have assumed.
Extraordinary Hearing
"A hypnotized subject described by Eugene Marais could hear a
hiss of constant volume at a distance of 230 yards, although
nonhypnotized people typically could not detect the same sound
until they were within 30 yards of its source" (p. 66).
"Like certain religious adepts, multiples alter their flesh and
consciousness through highly focused intention, hypnosis-like
trance, and the retention of childlike mutability, though they
do so in a dissociated and psychologically destructive manner"
(p. 245).
HYPNOSIS
Hypnosis can be used to: "alleviate pain, assist the healing of
skin afflictions, relieve allergies, improve circulation, lower
blood pressure, cure phobias and addictions, induce illusions
and hallucinations, cause temperature changes in hands and feet,
increase sensory acuity, improve cognitive performance of
various kinds, assist memory recall, aid concentration in sports
and musical performance, stimulate out-of-body sensations,
induce experiences that appear to be paranormal, and produce
exaltations that resemble mystical states" (p. 291).
The power of hypnosis is the power of the mind and it is awesome!

Caesar's unlimited power will destroy the Republic.
Brutus orders his servant Lucius to light a taper in his office
and, when Lucius returns he brings the false petition that Cinna
has planted. Brutus reads the letter and, just as Cassius had
hoped, it arouses Brutus' passions. The conspirators arrive at
Brutus' house and Lucius leads them to the orchard. Not knowing
if Brutus has decided to join them, the group exchanges
pleasantries until Cassius takes Brutus aside. When the two
rejoin the group, Brutus asks for the hands of the conspirators
as he agrees to lead them in the assassination plot. As they
begin to plan the murder, Brutus insists that they do not harm
Antony:
Our course will seem too bloody, Caius Cassius, To cut the head
off and then hack the limbs, Like wrath in death and envy
afterwards; For Antony is but a limb of Caesar: Let us be
sacrificers, but not butchers, Caius. (162-6) Dawn is breaking,
and the conspirators must depart. Before they leave Decius
offers to ensure that Caesar will be in the Capitol the next day,
the fifteenth of March. They will commit the murder by the
eighth hour. Just as the men leave, Brutus' wife Portia comes to
find her husband. She is perplexed by Brutus' strange behavior
of late and begs him "Make me acquainted with your grief" (256).
Brutus hears a knock at the door and promises Portia he will
reveal the cause of his grief later. He delicately orders her to
hurry back to bed. Lucius enters with Ligarius, another
conspirator. Ligarius tells Brutus that he will do anything
Brutus asks, and they leave together to commit the act that
"will make sick men whole" (327).
Act 2, Scene 2 Like Portia,
Calpurnia has trouble sleeping. She has heard of the beasts
roaming the Capitol and other strange occurrences, and begs him
not to go to the Capitol. After much reluctance Caesar agrees to
stay home, but just as he does so, Decius arrives to escort
Caesar to the senate-house. When Caesar informs Decius that he
will not go because of Calpurnia's request, Decius chides him
for yielding to his wife's whims. Decius adds that the senate
has concluded that they will today give Caesar a crown, and
Caesar gives into vanity, agreeing to accompany Decius to the
Capitol.
Portia is standing on the street outside her house, frantically
worried about Brutus. She orders Lucius to the senate-house to
report on Brutus. Portia sees the soothsayer. He tells her that
he has come to once again warn Caesar. He leaves to take his
position along the procession route and Portia, weak with worry
and fear, goes back inside.

soooooo anxious
This is my bye-bye until the 14th/15th post because I doubt I'll
have time to post in the morning. I am SO excited! Actually
right now I'm having a nervous moment, you would think I never
traveled internationally how I'm acting. The whole customs thing
terrifies me though. They're hard core criminal organized crime
ish in Ukraine according to stuff I read online. Of course that
can only be taken with a grain of salt, but no worry.
What does green mean on a mood ring? I found this mood ring in
the suitcase my sister loaned me. It's the plain, flat, wedding
bandish one. Heh. Imagine a mood ring wedding band...nah, don't.
Oh my goodness, my suitcase it so organized, I have my clothes
all in pretty little individual rolls. My carry on is the one
that's "interesting." I'm carrying on all of my snacks,
toiletries, one outfit and one pair of shoes, and 4 pair of
underwear...just in case something happens to the luggage. I got
a digital camcorder! It's a loaner, but I'm still thrilled. Kind
of nervous to be responsible for something so expensive of
someone else's, but I'll take good care of it. Everyone pray for
me while I'm gone.. please. I'll be ok though, there's hella
wisdom behind this trip, and we're all in good hands. I keep
thinking of things that I need to go to the store for, but I
really should go to bed. We have to meet at noon to make sure
everything is situated, even though our flight doesn't depart
until 5:45. I'm not going to get into flight numbers and what
not, but I'm going on British Airways to London, then to Ukraine,
there and back.
This is worse than the first day of school. I put off a lot of
things until the last minute {rationalization} so I would have
something to do to occupy my time so I wouldn't be so anxious {
end rationalization}. There's a lot more I want to say, but my
eyes can't stand another minute looking at the computer screen...
so I'm off to get a few hours of sleep before my awesome
adventure. There will be lots of pictures and movies when I
return!!! I look like crap, but thought it was appropriate to
post a picture:Here, you, go.

In addition, in my study of both the Lincoln Marriage chart and
the Kennedy Marriage chart, in their secondary progressions when
the assassinations occurred, Chiron was making stations.
I explained earlier in Part I that one of the meanings at a
Chiron station is being "out of time," in limbo. In my JFK,
Life and Death and Chiron article on the astrology web site,
I referred to a term called "chirological time." This was first
explained by Zane Stein, who had been the main astrologer bringing
Chiron's message and meaning to the world after the Chiron discovery
on November 1, 1977. [Note: This will become important later
in our study because George W. Bush married Laura Welch less
than one week after Chiron's discovery. Therefore, the Chiron
principle of healing is deeply at work in their marriage.]
Saturn rules "chronological time" and revolutionary Uranus
represents the gateway to "eternity" (where there is no time
at all). But Chiron -- which orbits the Sun between Saturn
and Uranus -- is the ruler of twilight zones, unusual timing,
being "out of time" in the normal sense. As mentioned in Part I,
Chiron was completely motionless when President Kennedy was
murdered. And note the following -- the symbol that astrologers
use for Chiron is a "K" with an ellipse attached to the bottom.
It is an image of a KEY. Thus, one of the deeper meanings of
Chiron refers to a "KEY that opens doors to higher consciousness
and spiritual awareness." This is a major reason why we are
searching through all these assassination-related charts
to understand the how, why and when of what may be unfolding
in the near future in America.

SUSAN SONTAG: Oh, well, you know, I always envy the poets because
they pack in a lot in a few lines so we prose writers go a
little... I'll read from the end. It is a monologue.
It's Edwin Booth, the great American actor, tragedian,
Shakespeare actor. He's talking here. He is, of course,
you know, the older brother of John Wilkes Booth who
assassinated Lincoln. This is after. This is 1880s.
But he's played with my Polish actress. They've been playing
in "Merchant of Venice." And they are back at his rooms.
And he is, of course, drunk and about to make a pass at her
and complain and weep and wail about his terrible life.
He did have a terrible life. He was a very tragic figure.
This is the beginning of the final part of "In America."
It's Edwin Booth, the great American actor speaking.
"You see, my dear Marina, I trust we may dispense with
Madam Marina and Mr. Booth now that we're alone and I'm
exhausted and sated with applause and quite as drunk as
I need to be. I must tell you that I didn't approve when you
came downstage and touched me tonight. Keep your eyes fixed
on me throughout, ignoring the others in the courtroom,
no objection to that. We both agree the speech is addressed
to Shylock. The quality of mercy is not strained. It droppeth
as the gentle rain from heaven. No, it doesn't, but that's not
the point here, which is my point. My point is Portia is trying
to convince Shylock and thereby to move him. He's not easily
moved. He has too many grievances, Portia may be moved herself
by the wretched fellow but Portia should never, never touch
Shylock, even if she only touches his shoulder, touch his
shoulder, touch any other part of him. No touching.
Shylock is in pain. Booth stares into the glass of whiskey
he's holding, 'and being in pain is very combustible.'"
