But I'm not sure, if the interpretation is correct.
I believe, the aim of such events is to get 'grip' on politicians.
That is a very ancient principle. I call it 'rip off the Pharaoh'.
(This idea is actually mine and is generated by reverse engineering the
'bad guys'.)
To be able to rip off someone, you need to make this person your friend,
make this person rich, but have knowledge about 'dark spots'.
This could be all kinds of things you should not do, but are not really
forbidden. Or are forbidden or extremely unwanted, but were committed in
secrecy. Or: anybody does it, so whop cares?
Well, if nobody knows, than possibly there is no threat. But does this
include your 'friends'?
Are your friends really your friends and could your trust them, if it
would be more beneficial for them, to rip you off?
So gay, pagan rituals may be disgusting or at least not popular. But if
you are among 'friends', than possibly there is no risk.
But are you really certain about them? How high are the moral standards
of these people and would they eventually use secret knowledge against you?
To illustrate the problem I take e.g. Daniel Cohn-Bendit or Rudolf Hess.
This does not mean, I want to compare them, but they have something in
common: apparently they were 'dropped'.
For unknown reasons, they apparently have fell out of grace and suffer
from loss of protection, they thought were part of the deal.
But this is a mistake, since the ritual itself shows, that trustfulness
is not, what the attendees want.
