Diana, as far as I know, was 5'11" making her one inch taller than
Prince Charles at 5'10". To give him a superior height for their
engagement pictures, Charles stood on the step behind Diana, and
for many years during their marriage, Diana wore flat-heeled shoes
out of deference not to tower over her husband (and many other's
besides) in high highs.

5'11" says "The Day Diana Died". That's pretty much what I have read over the
years in other areas. An inch taller than me, but smaller feet :-)

But the right height to have a successful career in other fields. I've
read that some of the most successful business executives, political
leaders and diplomats are very tall -- they get noticed and command much
more respect than their shorter counterparts. She would have made a
fantastic runway model, too, with that wonderful tall presence.....very
effective. Many top track and field athletes are tall.
