Good morning all,
I'm new to the group but wanted to share something interesting I noted
today in one of Mel McIntyre's photos taken just after the limo went
under the underpass. You can actually see the clock atop the TSBD and
it reads 12:30.

If this is old news to anyone, I apologize. Here is a link to the
pic. It's the best quality picture (and also the largest) i could
find on the web.

Where did you find the pic, and were there anymore of the limos and
motorcycles?

Well, I for one find this photo interesting. I always thought the
triple underpass was the entrance to the freeway. Guess not.

You would think with all these shadow speculations on the limos and the
motorcyles that it would attract some comment from the throng with such
good visiblity of the shadows here. It sure makes the shadows much
larger than what was seen on the Altgens. JFK's limo shadow is quite
large here.

I couldn't see the '12:30', but maybe I need a larger screen or better
eyes.

Things I wonder about when seeing the pic is where Mr. McIntyre would
have been standing to take the shot? Did he know about the shooting,
and if he did, why didn't he take a closer shot at JFK? Did anyone
there in that small crowd take a shot or were they interviewed as to
maybe the looks of the wounded JFK? Were these policeman motorcyclists
Martin, Hargis, and Chaney....in the same order as in down the street?
Was that Altgens vehicle or limo that was going to the left to be
passed by the other two limos?

Thanks Jeremy for the photo and post, and welcome to the group.

The entire Zapruder film only lasts 22 seconds, and that takes the car
under the underpass, so naturally the clock is still on the same minute
as the limo reached the freeway ramp. If you add Zapruder and the Daniel
film together you get the car there is well under a minute.

There was about a block between the Underpass and the freeway ramp. In
the Daniel film, you can see the limo traveling most of that distance,
as Daniel was about halfway or so between the two locations.

There is a very good print of it in the Conover Hunt book JFK For a New
Generation.

Also, Trask's book Pictures of the Pain has good copies of both McIntire
photos.

Where are the pigeons?

There ought to be pigeons.

Well maybe next year.

Baker and other witnesses said that the pigeons flew away just after the
first shot. Finding a photo showing the pigeons taking off would
pinpoint the time of the first shot, and combined with the acoustical
evidence would nail down all the shots.
