Hi All,

Following on from the last episode, things are now starting to get a
little overheated. Texas Direct Auto appears to have washed their
hands of Gil and his Silverado truck, leading the doughty Verm to take
matters into his own hands. He starts warning other eBay bidders
directly about Texas Direct mid auction! Something's gotta give! Let's
listen in! OK, Verm on:

Ebay orders me to stop warning people

Dear gjjdude,

We appreciate your membership here at eBay. As such, we would like to
take this opportunity to discuss with you a complaint we received
involving an unwanted email you sent to another member via the eBay
Email Forwarding System.

The purpose of the Email Forwarding System is to provide open
communication between a seller and a buyer regarding an eBay
transaction. Below is a copy of the email you sent through the Email
Forwarding System:

BEWARE OF TEXAS DIRECT AUTO -- READ MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM BEFORE YOU
MEET THE RESERVE http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff145600.htm

Although eBay maintains a neutral position regarding this complaint,
we wanted to let you know a complaint has been received. Currently
this will not affect your account. Any complaint to eBay regarding the
use of the Email Forwarding System outside of its intended purpose can
be reported to eBay.

More information regarding eBay's Email Forwarding System guidelines
can be found at:

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important matter.

Regards,

What a pathetic reply! Gilly wasn't standing for that! Texas Direct
Auto can already go to Hell and eBay can join 'em! Let's hear what
Super Verm (the consumer's friend!) had to say in rsponse!

QUOTE ON:

To which I answered:

I recently received a notice from you folks that a complaint was
issued against me for misusing the contact member e-mail system, which
I used to warn bidders of auctions of Texas Direct Auto, who ripped me
off for about three grand in an auction that I won for a truck.

I don't like being taken for thousands by unscupulous characters such
as Texas Direct. I don't like it that Ebay has done NOTHING in this
regard to protect me, despite all kinds of advertised safeguards
against such fraud.

I will persue this matter in the legal realm and I am requesting that
you terminate my ebay account immediately for I have no desire to do
business with you or through you.

Thank you, Gilbert Jesus.

QUOTE OFF

Never let it be said that a little *anger management* therapy wouldn't
benefit our consumer crusading hero. Still, haven't we ALL been there?
Not sure we'd all bother cutting all ties with eBay though... Not to
worry, the deed is done! And when in doubt, go the thermonuclear
response!:

QUOTE ON:

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Houston
against Texas Direct Auto. If Ebay does not terminate my membership as
requested, I will continue to e-mail unsuspecting bidders until they
do.

QUOTE OFF

That's telling them! Gilly is starting to build a fan base of angry
consumers! Even I'm becoming a convert! Roll on Episode 6!
