OT: THE DAY VERM GOT RIPPED OFF PART # 6

Things were escalating horribly last episode when we left our hero,
the consumer crusader known as Verm. A horrible kind of acceptance of
events now seems to have been reached, but our hero is not going down
without a last jibe or two on eBay. Predictably, most avenues of
recourse have been shut off by Verm's own idiotic actions, but, hey,
y'gotta give the bloke kudos for having a go! As Dean Andrews (John
Candy) said to Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner) in the JFK movie: *You as
crazy as yo' Mama! You're a mouse fightin' a gorilla!* OK, Verm on.

Finally go the truck back from the transmission shop and the cost was
2,994.78. Works fine and I got a 2-year warranty. The BBB in Houston
said they couldn't help me beacuse I bought the truck "as-is", so I
guess that a dealer can make all kinds of guarantees and is not bound
by them as long as he sells a vehicle "as-is". I also filed a
complaint with the Texas AG's office and I quit Ebay as a result of
this ripoff.
But I didn't quit before I let them know what I thought of their
service. Ebay gets fees from sellers (not buyers) and that's how they
make their money. So, all they care about is the sellers. No sellers,
no profit. The buyers can go to hell as far as their concerned, so be
careful when buying anything through Ebay. You get what they send you,
no guarantees.
Of course they responded that they were looking into my complaint, but
that was two weeks after I filed it. I doubt anything will come of it,
since this dealer posts a lot of auctions and thus spends a lot of
money on Ebay. We'll see.
