Multiply that by 1000 and you start to make a dent in the needs for the
world energy.
At this rate it will only take 2000 years to make enough wind farms to
supply about half the electricity the of the world demand.... but by the
time they get 100 years worth built they'll need to produce even more
than 1000 times this much so when you chart the curves, it will have
two lines... one the needed power and the other the power coming on
line and the two will never intersect because we will never build the
wind and solar fast enough to out pace the NEW NEED being created for
more power generation and replacement and repairs of the old power
generating capacity. It may be impossible to repair and build the wind
and solar as fast as would be required to replace NUCLEAR and NATURAL
GAS and COAL world wide.... And then look at Puerto Rico where their
wind power and any solar they had, was totally unusable after the
HURRICANE that swept through that island and if you have wind and solar
every where then it will be hit by hurricanes every time there is
hurricane.... and that will require a rebuild of that system and
possibly two or three systems per hurricane each time a hurricane gets
near any human population.
Wind and solar should be looked at as a supplement to the original power
plants. It's great to diversify the production of power to many sources
of energy, so that we create electricity from as many types of energy s
we can. But to believe that there is one single source that will be the
only source would be to ignore the factor of RISK into the equation....
Relying on one source of energy, is *not* the SMART THING TO DO.
