The problem with the W2 as being "proof" is that the blank W2 forms
could be purchased at any stationary supply store and simply filled in
with a typewriter (a quaint piece of technology that was still around
in the early 1990s). For Knapp to view it as a "smoking gun" only
underscores his lack of quality as a true investigative reporter (but
he plays one on TV).
And even in the unlikely case the W2 was legit, it doesn't mean he
worked at a saucer base. Perhaps he got employed doing grunt tech
work at Groom for a few days, until he blabbed and the security folks
showed up.
Now if Lazar offered up a Social Security Administration printout from
the Feds showing contributions for that amount, that would be a much
bigger deal. But he never has. I wonder why?
I agree with you "take" completely. I have always wondered where or
how did Knapp get the W2. Has he ever answered that question? I
would be real curious to find out. I have always been under the
impression that he takes credit for discovering it. Has he ever
really explained that???

The way the story goes is that Lazar gave it to Knapp. Anyone see
anything wrong with this picture?
Really! I thought Knapp dug it up somewhere.
I don't recall George ever talking about Bob's W2. His W2 is on
http://www.thewhyfiles.net/
someplace if you want to see it.
If Bob gave it to George it would seem like it would be real easy for
him to verify the authenticity. Even if Bob didn't give it to George,
it should still be just as easy to verify the authenticity. I guess
this has always bugged me a little!

I don't think George uncovered the W2, but it was probably given to
him by Bob. You could email George and ask.
I don't think any employer let me keep a badge. OK with me since I
hate wearing the damn things, worse yet the ones with RFID that snoop
on you.
It seems like once a year some dude robs a store at gunpoint wearing
their employers badge. ;-)
