For several years we have been developing a unique library of digital
typefaces
of historical interest and antique origin. These fonts include:
Accurate recreations of historical calligraphy (4000 Series)
Medieval and early modern decorative initials (6000 Series)
Antique typefaces from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries (3000 Series)
Decorative fonts based on medieval and early modern ornament (7000 Series)
Mystical, magical and ancient language fonts (5000 Series)
If any of these topics interest you, take a few minutes to stop by our
website. Many of the fonts in our library are available as shareware in
the font of the month section.
You will also find other material of interest to the antiquarian, including
a collection of old book illustrations on historical and fantastical topics
and special collections of art and decoration on antique themes.
Our main website is: http://members.aol.com/ragnarokgc/scriptorium
-- Look for the samples arranged by type of font. Also check out
the Font of the Month section and some of the art samples.
Celtic art and type site: http://members.aol.com/ragnarok/artype/celtic
-- This site has some great sample images of celtic art and decoration,
plus detailed information on our Celtic calligraphy fonts.
Scriptorium Magazine: http://members.aol.com/ragnarok/smag22/smag22.htm
-- The latest issue of our magazine has a great article on decorative
initials and how to put them to use in your publications.
We don't make a habit of sending out lots of email, but we thought that
this might interest you. If you would like to get future mailings about
new shareware releases drop me a note in email with SUBSCRIBE in the
title. If you don't send a request you will not be put on our mailing
list and won't hear from us again.
