I noticed an entry in my BIOS for "throttle duty cycle", which can be set
for 12.5%, 25%, etc.
Does anyone know what this parameter is for and what it should be set to?
Thanks

some systems can have problems if they arent expecting a slow cpu clock,
causing them to hang.
so its slows down the computer if it starts to get too hot or ? probably
has little effect on a home computer, set it and forget it... try
different numbers, you wont see any difference.

Throttle Duty Cycle: Disabled/75%/62.5%/50%
This option specifies the percentage that the CPU will "throttle back" to
when entering Doze Mode. If your BIOS also has a temperature control, the
CPU will throttle back to this setting if the temperature rises above a
pre-defined limit. When the CPU is sufficiently cooled, the Throttle Duty
Cycle is released, unless Doze mode has been initiated.
