Hi there

Can somebody tell me what is the diference between return and enter and
carriage return and line feed? And is there a ascii character that would
generate a beep?

Thank you

"Return" is represented in ASCII by a control character (control M)
named CR (decimal value 13), "line feed" is represented in ASCII by the
control character (control J) named LF (decimal 10).
The "bell" is represented in ASCII by the control character (control
G) and named BEL; but the speaker may or may not beep, depending on what
application is interpreting that character.
