I have some tips here maybe you missed a cmos setting. Take the other
hints also other folks have posted. If indeed the onboard floppy drive
controller has gone bad its an easy fix with a controller cards with
everything else disable on it excpept the floppy. dont worry too much
there is a fix that wont cost too much.
It happens. Sometimes on PCI boards one of the IDE controllers goes bad,
most often the secondary for whatever reason from my experience. Not too
much of a problem tho if you only have a single HDD and a single cdrom
drive
I can guess the following problems may you have ... try them ..
- your motherboard FDD controller may be damaged ... / not working
- your FDD Data Cable may not working ...
- check the pin1 Setting ...
- Check the FDD Power cable ...
