PC Pitstop Optimize is actually part of a constellation partnered with
CA - Computer Associates which sells all kinds of ware.

There is plenty of online information. Search PC Pitstop review. Look
up CA Inc in the wiki.
Many/Most freeware advocates feel that you can accomplish the same goals
without buying the $30 product.
Many/Some 'antimarketing' people find the marketing strategies of the
parent/partner a bit pushy.

I've been a follower for 10 years or so. I know they've changed a bit
but the current team do provide a free Anti-Virus package for the Apple
OS X operating system. My local Apple shop were unaware of that!
