Job Title: Oracle APEX Developer
Location: Quincy, MA
Duration: 9+ month Contract (renewable)
Job type: C2C / W2
Note: only Local Candidates to Quincy, MA
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Analyze legacy applications, access databases, and document the workflows, business processes, and requirements
• Propose, conceptualize, design, implement, and develop solutions for difficult and complex applications independently
• Perform testing, debugging, change control, and documentation for major projects
• Collaborate with project managers to implement end-to-end solutions for complex projects
• Oversee the support, maintenance, operation, and upgrade of applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
• Review the physical design of existing systems for optimizing performance
• Work with internal team to analyze system requirements and develop a solution according to specifications
• Help business teams with data standardization, transformation, and data quality improvement efforts
• Convert all #MS access databases into #Oracle APEX applications
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• 5+ years of experience working with #Oracle APEX and #Oracle Database products
• Expert-level knowledge and understanding of #Oracle APEX with demonstrated application development experience in the newer versions of #Oracle APEX - at least version 18.2 or higher
• Strong knowledge of #APEX Universal Theme and how to use it for various #UI requirements
• In-depth knowledge of #logical/physical database design and strong experience in creating #PL/SQL Packages, #Procedures, #Functions, #Triggers, #Views, and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking, and migrating complex data sets in #Oracle
• Strong experience in writing and optimizing #SQL and #PLSQL
• Experience with modern #web dev. technologies like #HTML5, #JavaScript, #jQuery Ajax, #XML, #CSS
• Good understanding of #REST API concepts and proficient in developing and consuming REST APIs with #Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS)
• Familiarity with all aspects of the #Software Development Life Cycle and the ability to follow through with code implementation, including Unit Testing and ongoing support.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Basic understanding of working in any #cloud platform (preferably #AWS)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Management or equivalent work experience.
