EXCUSE ME, WHAT DID YOU SAY?

This topic is given in three perspectives exploring the fascinating
topic of effective communications in a diverse market. First, there is
a general overview about effective communications that everyone can
agree upon. Second, I will come from the sender's perspective in
communicating effectively in a diverse market. Next, I will present
the receiver's side in effective communications. Finally, I will put
all of this together as one person communicating effectively with
another person regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, or sex.
Although there will still be miscommunication, you can diagnose the
reason(s), understand what has happened, and correct any missteps you
may have made to create the communication disconnect. Areas included
are verbal and nonverbal communications, active listening versus
hearing, and barriers both to sending and listening to a message.

Tresté I. Loving is the CEO/Founder of Simple Innovations Business
Coaching. I am a dedicated, well- trained, professional business coach
and organization development expert with over 14 years of experience
in the private sector and 26 years in the Navy. My experience includes
assisting senior Naval officials, business owners, key executives, and
entrepreneurs with:

o Diversity & Inclusion
o Productivity
o Workforce Development
o Employee Solutions
o And more

I am committed to give my clients the tools to become leaders in
diversity, intercultural competency, and workforce development. That
creates a business that can gain a competitive advantage in a highly
diverse market which leads to a stronger bottom line. I know there is
nothing more powerful than a work environment where employees eagerly
move toward the same goal, totally committed to their organization?s
success. In this new economy, that success equates to increased market
share by effectively attracting new diverse customers/clients.
