Speaker: Jamie Thornberry, of Smith Barney
About the Speaker
Jamie is a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. She is
also a Financial Planning Specialist and Chartered Retirement Plan
Counselor. She works to guide her clients through changing market
environments and their evolving financial needs. With many of her
clients being IT Consultants and Contractors, Jamie has decided to
focus her practice entirely on their financial needs. She will discuss
financial opportunities as they pertain to pre-tax savings,
retirement, and estate planning.
Jamie graduated from the University of the Ozarks with a Bachelor of
Science in Marketing (cum laude). For gaining professional experience
she worked at a small manufacturing company as an Assistant Vice
President and also in both domestic and international non-profits in
the DC area. To broaden life experience, she joined Peace Corps and
served two years in Panama.
She currently lives in Arlington, Virginia. She serves as President of
the board for the organization, Peace Corps Panama Friends, and as a
board member of the Kiwanis Club of Washington, DC.
