Is the moderator gone, or nobody just posting?

I'm still here. No one has been posting much for the last couple of
years. Usenet use is waning, especially in discussion groups like
this one (as opposed to technical groups).

I would consider gatewaying traffic from other fora that have the same
topic, provided that the owners of those fora would agree.

I would not say waning. I would say it has been overwhelmed by
flamers, spammers and kooks posting non relevant stuff.
Especially since Google has become the new AOL of usenet.

The state of Usenet varies, depending on the group. Some, especially
many of the technical groups, are very much alive. Quite a few of
those gateway from web fora and mailing lists, which creates a larger
community.

This group has been fairly dead for the last couple of years. I wish
that we had more posters, but it seems that new consultants either
don't bother to look for this kind of discussion on-line or are going
to other fora, such as web-based discussion groups or blogs.
