Any followup solutions to the Control Center hijack?
I cannot get into safemode, or task manager, etc.
I cannot get beyond the "Control Center" screen that loads once I
login.
Any ideas?
Is it possible to SAFELY do a "Repair Install" on a Home XP laptop
with a Pro XP CD?
Thanks.

Then you should run MBAM anyway to clean up. I wouldn't trust *anything*
to uninstall like this.

(...damned nice of it to provide an uninstall string though) :o)

just be careful. I ran across one sample that had an uninstall string..
with a catch... :) Needless to say, it didn't uninstall anything.. lol, but
it did add additional goodies.

An uninstall string as an update mechanism - sweet ... er I mean "how
dastardly"!!
