I'm having problems downloading the AVG./Grisoft
Virus updates for the free edition. From the AVG Control
center it downloads the updates at a snails pace despite
my Roadrunner connection. Same thing directly from
the website. This has been like this since Nov. 1 update. It will
take 20 minutes to download 30% of a patch and then
freeze up I never had this problem before.
Any Advice?

Think it will work better if I do it late tonight? less traffic perhaps
Hi!
I had the same problem but on the update controll panel I can choose betwen
update from grisoft.com and grisoft.cz. I changed it to grisoft.cz and it
works fine.
Joerg
thanks for the advice Joerg. Worked like a charm!

cz site much better. Mine started fast 3-4Kps (dialup) but later slowed to
the 100-200 bps. Much better results by downloading directly from web
(using Getright in my case) into the AVG Updates folder. The .cz server
also support Resume even though the AVG client seems to thing it doesnt?
There is usually a link to the latest update file from the grisoft home
page.
