MemPlug CF for Handspring problem?

Recently got the MemPlug CF for my Handspring Visor Delux
(chose CF over Smartmedia because I had a spare 64 MB card). Now, my
batteries seems to discharge in a week, without very heavy use. Does
the card use that much energy, or constantly pull from the battery, or
might something else be up? Has anyone had experience with this
springboard and had/not had this problem? Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I bought a Innopocket FlashPlus, and the same thing happened. Any use
at all, and the batteries were drained. I sent it back and have ordered a
Memplug SM because of the battery drain. www.visorcentral.com reviewed the
Memplug CF and said that . . .well, you can read it yourself, but the SM
version is supposed to only draw .02ma vs. 30ma on the CF versions.
