Yes, I have been testing both. I can make the following observations at
this point: 1) On Memo Plus, first thing to clarify, apparently the
program does NOT allow for memos larger than 4K in size. This is
contrary to some other postings I had seen. I never saw it documented
in the manual or at the Pilot Plus web site, so I sent an e-mail to
Pilot Plus and asked. They told me they chose to maintain 100%
compatibility with the standard Memo database, which means the 4K limit
is in place. As far as I know, only Superpad has the capability of
exceeding this for Memo-type files at this time. 2) Both Memo Plus and
To Do Plus allow the attachment of drawings to memo or to do entries. I
find this to be beneficial on the memo side, as I use the memo feature
to take notes in meetings. You can use any drawing program to do the
same thing, but only in the Pilot Plus software are the memo and drawing
linked - better filing for me. I find this feature to be unnecessary
and not as useful in the to do function - for me, I only want the to do
list to show actions I need to take. 3) Memo Plus has one other feature
that I find especially noteworthy: models. Models can be made for both
memos and drawings. For memos, a model is essentially a template, so if
you need to use a standard format for meeting notes as an example, the
model can be made and used to set up each time it is needed. I found it
easy to take my company's performance appraisal doc, save in text format
in Word, then import into Memo in the Pilot Desktop. At that point it is
a regular memo. I then re-saved it in Memo Plus as a model, which means
I now have the template to do all of the appraisals for my staff in the
Pilot - a major time saver and convenience factor.

In summary, I expect to be registering the Memo Plus software, but doubt
that I will use/register the To Do Plus software. I hope this helps.

One comment: HiNote also allows for larger than 4K memos, up to 28 k I
think. I have many memos in the 10-15 k range with it. It is an excellent
replacement for the memopad, which I now use just for import/export
to/from HiNote. HiNote is in version 1.1 now, with many users testing a
beta version that allows graphical notes. The Cyclos people have been
very responsive whenever I email them.

Check out HiNote from www.cyclos.com !
