ANNOUNCING THE CREATION OF TECHNOCRATS CONSULTING INC.
Chicago, IL December 4 1999 -----Technocrats Consulting Inc. announces the
creation of a new mobile computer service that include training, consulting,
integration, and deployment aimed at the emerging PDA market. Now companies
looking to add handheld devices, such as PalmPilots or Windows CE based units
can get their staff training on the effective use of these devices. Besides
training services, Technocrats Consulting Inc. will be partnering with many of
the major mobile device manufactures such as Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Data
Rover, NTS Computer, and Palm Computing to provide hardware support.
Technocrats Consulting Inc., will also partner with third party software
vendors such as Ruksun Software, Puma Software, Cerebellum, Mobile Automation
and others to provide complete mobile services for SMB, Enterprise,
Educational and Heathcare.
"The problem I have seen with the rise in popularity of the Palm Pilot," says
Howard Lee President of Technocrats Consulting Inc. "...is that end-users and
their IT are at odds over what devices can work with their system, so the
majority of devices are either returned to vendor, used by one person, or make
an expensive paperweight". "We want to change that by bringing business and IT
together with the right vendor to create the right solution that will satisfy
both".
In keeping with bringing together both business and IT, the mobile division
will also provide training on how to effectively use a handheld device designed
for the end-user.
These classes will focus on the two types of handheld devices currently on the
market. PDAs such as Palm Pilot with Palm OS and Palm PC with Windows CE.
Handheld PC such as H/PC and H/PC Pro running Windows CE 2.0 or higher. "Until
now, no company has really addressed the issue of mobile computer training,"
says Lee " Most mobile device manufactures have improved on the hardware and
operating system. And third party vendors have developed so called "killer
apps". But, no application can be useful to a company if their people can not
use the devices that the applications are supposed to run on. That is where
training becomes the most important application any business looking to deploy
a mobile
solution can give to its mobile force."
Pricing and Availability
Mobile Enterprise Resource Planning (M.E.R.P.) is the three phase system that
includes MERP Consulting at $395 per hour. MERP Training Palm or Windows CE at
$295 per person for a three hour course or $350 per hour for special courses
designed to fit a client's needs. MERP System Integration that connects your
mobile solution to your legacy system starting a $1000 per day.
