High Speed Action for Palm OS
CHICAGO, IL, March 31, 2000 - Red Mercury, LLC, a Palm OS(TM) game
development company, today announced the release of Atom Smash. The
fast action game, reminiscent of Breakout, includes 64 levels of play,
downloadable LevelPaks, and a 30 day free trial.
Atom Smash may be downloaded from Red Mercury (http://www.red-mercury.com)
and major Palm OS software sites. The full version can be purchased from
Red Mercury, as well - opening up access to a Level Editor that lets users
create their own LevelPaks.
"I think this is hands down the best Palm OS game available today," said
Scott Corley, President of Red Mercury, in a sudden fit of hubris. "The
frame rate, graphics, sound and gameplay are all top notch."
All of Red Mercury's games fully support color as well, according to
Corley. Red Mercury's current hit, AcidFreecell, has full color support in
version 1.5c, also available for free download from Red Mercury's web site.
Snagging Eyeballs
The typical owner of a PalmPilot(TM) is a busy professional, constantly on
the go, working long hours, and lacking any free time for television or
traditional video games. Getting eyeball time from this 5 million-strong
group is difficult. But this same crowd spends an hour or two a day waiting
for things, in little 5 to 10 minute intervals. Waiting for the computer to
reboot. Waiting for a conference call to start. Waiting for a speech to end.
Red Mercury is providing high quality entertainment for those little breaks.
Corley sees these breaks as valuable opportunities for recreation. "These
small delays during the day end up being the only free time some people get.
It would be such a shame for that time to go to waste," said Corley.
The future for Red Mercury is bright, colorful, and connected. The full
support of color devices shows Red Mercury's commitment to staying ahead
of the handheld technology curve. Corley says, "check out Atom Smash
today. And keep an eye on our website for more to come."

Yes but by all means make sure to go download his game! If he's this
creative in his press releases, we'd do well to encourage him to write
lots and lots of Palm ware for us :-)
