Ok,

I have easysync from Lotus. I hate notes, I hate easysync. That said, my
company seems to like that clunky piece of software (notes that is). I have
seen Intellisync floating around out there and I am wondering if it is any
better. Easysync seems to have a problem in that you can never seem to
uninstall it and return to the regular palm desktop.

I was wondering if Intellisync (Puma) is any better on the whole. I feel
pretty ripped off that i invested in Easysync in the first place. Customer
support was extremely poor, and the conduit does not seem to be very well
written in general. Was hoping some one could let me know if Intellisync is
any better before I shell out for it.

I used easysync for a while and I hated it also. I couldn't synch at home
with Palm Desktop software. If you get a program called Z'catalog you can
see all the databases on your palm. Easysync puts some databases on you palm
that need to be deleted in order to synch with anything else. They are
called syncaddressdb, syncdatebookdb, etc. Once you delete those you can
sync with palm desktop again. I now have intellisync which is MUCH BETTER.
It doesn't put anything on the palm, so I can sync with Lotus Notes at work
and Palm desktop at home. Also intellisync lets you control what
applications you synch with. So you can synch datebook with Lotus Notes and
memo with Palm Desktop, etc.

Get intellisynch and you will be happy.

Thank you John,

I'll give Intellisync a try!

I've found that Pylon from Globalware has been the best bet for synching w/
Lotus Notes. The installation process is brutal but if you persevere, I've
found it to be very stable. I started w/ Intellisynch and then went to
EasySynch. I went from a dog to a mutt. I've been happy w/ Pylon and I'm
going to upgrade to Pylon Pro.

I concur with the brutal installation - it's
awful. However, once up and running it is, as you
say, stable - unlike Notes! <g>
